Unspoken...
"I’m sorry "; she said these as her last words. He was still holding her hands firmly, shocked, refusing to let her go.
"But…"
He didn’t know what else to say. All he could think of was that she was leaving him for no reason. "There is nothing left to say", "I’m sorry".
She turned her back and ran away. But he stood there; shocked like he never was before.
With tears falling from his eyes, he remembered her smile, her funny jokes, and her stupid mistakes. He was missing them already a while had passed before he found a paper in one of his books; she chose it to send her last words. The paper was a letter from his sweet heart, it said:
"… you did nothing wrong, trust me, you deserve more than the best. But it is time for me to go now, so just let my life as it was before and walk away. I’ll never know how I lost you. There is nothing left unspoken but… I love you."
He read the paper till he fall asleep and every now and then, he reads it again. Trying to figure out the truth because he knew it was not "due to personal reasons" like she titled it, he was sure something was left unspoken but he could never find it.

Talking about divorce…
The hottest topic of the day being love and love marriages. I was quite curious to find out how many people in my class are really into love and love marriages since we were discussing about it. As usual the guys were all joking about it by saying that they would get married to a girl and then divorce her within in the next three months and then get going with another girl. Then this thing struck me, let me check about the divorce rates in India. Here is something I felt about it.
Marriages in different parts of the world are done differently. In olden days, tribal men kidnap girls from other tribes to marry them. In the western world, as we know it, they have the right to “choose” the person they prefer on the basis of love. In India, a common practices was arranged marriage. It is said that the divorce rate have a direct impact on the level of choosing their own spouse.i.e. Love marriages. And according the research, it is happened only in the recent times.
If you see the picture below, you will find that India, compared to all the other countries has the lowest divorce rate but is increasing certainly at a very high speed during the past decade.
Even though India still enjoys a low divorce rate, the rapid increase in the number of divorce petitions being filed in Indian courts is certainly a matter of concern. The Indian divorce rate is although the lowest in compared to the rest of the countries of the world, but the present marital scenario in India is likely under a threat. The very will to keep on with the sacred union even under numerous marital disputes and disparities has mellowed with time and transformation of ideologies.
And if you trace out the reasons for these divorces, you will find that the blame has been placed on the women empowerment, the literacy rate and the financial independency.
- Lets look at the reasons for the increasing rate of divorces in India:
- 1. Earlier when the women divorced she was faced with social criticisms. They believed that the parents would not accept them and think of them as a burden. But times are changing now. The parents feel and understood the fact that it is not the end of the daughter’s life if she was divorced.
- 2. Due to factors such as Globalization and IT boom, the social life has become faster. The couples aren’t spending enough times with each other and also in this fast paced world nobody is bothered about social ill- effects or rather not effect the glare of the society.
- 3. With the advent of women education, they are not anymore depend on the men for their financial needs. Therefore, she doesn’t have to anymore stand the abuse and harass made by the men. She can get out of it and get on with her life on her own or as well as the kids, if any.
- But are these the only reason why we are moving into the different
- pace, and don’t you think that the above mentioned reasons are fair
- enough and logical for the betterment of the better half, WOMEN.
- PS: I am not being bias here. I still believe that there are some real men who take care of their wives as if they were Queen and Hats off to you all.. This post is dedicated to my dad because he belongs to that category.

Smiling @ strangers…
I was past the bridge on kotturpuram. Suddenly, I notice a woman walking past me with her baby. It must have been girl because of the charm and the looks of it. I was so touched when that baby girl who was half asleep woke up, just to give me a smile and then got back to her sleep. I was thrilled. It gave me a great and refreshing look which I carried the whole day and passed on to all the people I met and made a difference in their day too..
Once small twinkle smile from a god-like-baby made my day as well as a few others whom I influence. No fights, no frowns, no anger, no sorrow… Just plain and simple happiness which kept me on the whole day. I dint even fall asleep during my 3 hrs class. Amazing, isn’t it? And all it took was just a smile. I loved it. So I plan to make the best of everyday. I smile and make others smile. This morning, I was in my car with my windows fully down and while passing through that same bridge, I was closely followed by a father who was taking his daughter to school. The girl had bandaged her hand. She must have met with an accident and was looking very miserable in that state. All I did was look @ her and smile. You should have seen how her face lit up. She was also smiling back at me and trying to wave to me forgetting that her hand was bandaged. Then I waved back at her and we went our ways. I really don’t know whether I’ll see her the next day too but one smiling girl made the difference. The power of smile. I love it and very thankful to all those people who smile and make other people’s day. After all, we ultimately want to be happy by the end of the day.
PS: There is another reason why I smile at strangers. This is just between us. You also get to smile at all the cute, smart and handsome guys on the bike early in the morning… Haaaaaaa… So refreshing… Now that also makes your day….Don’t you think girls??? LOL

"Hey sexy lady"
You guys must all be wondering what I'm going to say in this post. Its nothing to do about sex or may be. If you had watched Sun Tv for the past one month you have noticed that this song " Hey Sexy Lady" Promo of the movie Ninaithale Inikkum. Since Sun TV was promoting their own "MOVIE" in their own "CHANNELS", you would have seen it like a 100 times a day. Same thing happens in Sun music, K TV and also Chutti TV. So literally all of us were only seeing this a dozen time at an hours time on the TV. We, at home, all the tamil channels together so that we can keep changing it for convince sake.
Last week, my cousin POOJA visited me. She came home because her mom had come to help my sister pack for her trip abroad. So it was my duty to keep Pooja out of site so that they will be able to do their work peacefully. ( Pooja can be a pain-in-the-b*tt sometimes). Since I gel with her very well, I was given this responsibility. She was playing some Dora games in my laptop and suddenly she started singing the song " Hey Sexy lady". I was shocked and terrified. I mean, it dint affect me when I was watching this song all the while on TV or when I could see Prithiviraj dancing with some item girl. It was such a shock when I heard my 5yrs old cousin sing it. I told her immediately where did she hear it( such a obvious question, of course). She coolly replied on Sun TV and also said that she loved song. And she said, " Akka, en class la ellarukum Prithiviraj na romba pudikum." Meaning that her classmates like the actor Prithiviraj very much.
Excuse me!!! :( Have I got something wrong here. A bunch of 5 year olds talking about Prithiviraj. This certainly put me off the whole day. I cannot image even seeing such kind of stuff when I was that young. I remember asking my friend in my 7th standard about Crush. So much of exposure these kids have these days. Actually this was just the beginning. Since I had a mild attack, I switched off the TV (literally pulled out the plug)and laptop and took her out in the evening to have a nice and fresh walk. Since we had a park nearby and we would also have a lot of small kids visiting the park. I thought it would be a great place for her to play and have some fun.
The park was pretty crowded because it was a Saturday. My place is nearby the boat club road in Chennai wherein most of the people are likely to be more well off. And most of the kids were from these places. So I let her to have her own time, while I sat on the bench watching her from a distance. She was playing for the while, when suddenly she stopped and looked at a kid who was dress all glittery and fancy. That glittery girl, for that age, was looking like a real glam doll. She was pretty, cute and very shy. So Pooja went near her and was talking something. I really couldn't hear it so I went little close to eavesdrop on my 5 yr old cousin. She was asking where she had got the dress, those silver coloured sandals and also those lovely barbie girl earring, this girl was wearing. Knowing my cousin, I asked her to stop worrying about all the that and asked to continue playing. She would leave that shy girl who kept running around trying to avoid Pooja from following her. I thought enough was enough and threatened Pooja to take her back home, if she dint stop annoying the poor girl.
My Drama-queen cousin started to cry and I had to give up and let her play for some more time until it got dark. Then took her back home, by that time all the packing work was done. The thing why I was talking about this incident is because I think its not ethical to have those poor kids know about all these stuff only when they are just old enough to eat food by themselves. Of course, they will have their time to get to know all that they are so eager to know until them I hope they stay clean. Clear instruction are given to my aunt not to let her watch TV for more than 1 hour a day and that too only Chutti TV or Pogo or Cartoon network.
