Do good anyways

People may be selfish, cruel, and 2-faced.
You do good anyway.

If you are happy and content in life, people will be jealous.
Be happy and do good anyway.

When you give your best, it may not be good enough.
Give your best shot and do good anyway.

When you are honest and true to heart, people may deceive you.
Be honest and do good anyway.

When you are rich and successful, you will have many friends who aren't real friends.
Treat them well and do good anyway.

When you are kind and helpful, people will accuse you of have some motive.
Be kind and do good anyway.

When you do something bad, it will be remembered for years. When you do something good, it will be forgotten in a day.
Nevertheless, do good anyway.

God is there watching from up above, no good deed goes unnoticed.
So do good anyway.

Life is Reality

Have you ever sat in the dark
And cried out at all the painful things done to your heart?

Have you ever gone back to that instant
To a place, a time, where you could let your feelings 'represent'?

Have you ever closed your eyes and dreamed
About a quiet place where someone actually heard you scream?

Where someone would care for you
Like you deserve, like loved ones in fairy tales do?

Have you ever picked up that sharpened knife
And seriously thought about ending your life?

Have you ever placed that blade
Against your wrist as you let all other thoughts fade?

Have you ever dug deep in your soul
Searching for a happy place; finding a hole?

Have you ever looked death in the eyes
And almost believed, almost accepted those lies?

Well, I have... yes this is me
Now you can make the decision on whether I am to be believed.

Its not worth the horror drain
On your emotions, the endless pain.

Take it from one who knows
When you have faith in yourself, it shows.

Don't give up this life yet
Your destiny is your own to set.

The love to be..

The one you are,
Is the one I love.

If you weren't you,
Then I wouldn't have loved you.
But then,
I would have loved who?

You allow me to be me,
And you always be you.
Let the world see,
How much I love you.

He was….

He loved me… once

ONCE all my heart needed and wanted and craved. I felt solitude in the fact that his heart once belonged to me… even for just a fleeting moment- I knew it was mine.

He was always the fickle type – he never let me know too much but always fed me just enough to keep me close to him, clinging onto him, just enough to keep me wanting more of him.

I hate him for this. I hated him…

I hate him for all that he was… but nothing that he is. I don’t know him anymore.

Nothing that I am… Nothing that I am without anything of him….

The tribute continues 3…

Note: Hey guys, this is not to hurt anyone.. but something i felt I should do. I love doing it .. please don’t take me the wrong way. From here, things will get real personal.

Roll No:21 and Roll No: 22 Not sure if they exist in college..and if they do, I’ll edit this one..

Roll No:23 Nirandhari She is math genius who loves to play with numbers.. She is more an engineer than a MBA. I feel that she lacks the confidence in her. She is rather very sweet if you get to know her personally. She is mostly influenced by people who are close to her. She is prone to get angry fast without any reason. BTW, she is the roommate of the before mentioned “PRIYANKA” in this post. They are real good friends who like to be with each other. People feel that those two are inseparable but I'm damn sure that they will go on their own ways once the course is over. Guys wanna bet??

Roll No: 24 Praveen Chandar : (with a tear in my eye) He is one the best friend who will do anything for a friend. You must have seen all my “Missing my friend” poems and post on this particular person. He was a Gem of a friend. People used to envy our friendship until something something…Personally, it was my fault about what had happened. I was such an idiot to lose such a wonderful friend who wanted to my friend eternally. My dear Praveen is the sweetest of all the guys in class. He is a good friend, a funny and caring guy. I just hope that everything I said doesn’t happen and he lives happily ever after without seeing me after college days.

PS: To Praveen, I’m not as bad as you think I am. What I did was wrong but I just hated to see you cry. You are like my little bro so you mean a lot to me now and forever!!! :) and never hesitate to come back to me, because I’m waiting to be with you again. Love you lots and missing you very badly.

Roll No:25 Nishanth The margazhi dog. Lol. Just kidding. He is the silent killer. The master blaster of our class. Exceptionally talented and intelligent to the core. Main aim in life: to get married to a girl with all the riches. Well, and he sort of achieved it also by going on with my class” TRISHA” (lol) Akila. Quite a businessman and also known to steal ideas from others. Not a hard worker, but a smart one. He knows what he wants in life and he also knows how to get it the smart way. I am very honoured and proud to have such a beloved friend, who stands up for friendship. I really like his guts and I also know a little secret about you which is never mentioned in public. Guys, Wanna know??? Ask him yourself.

Roll No: 26 Winya I present to you the “BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL” Winya. She is hot some times and not so hot the other times. Lol. The greatest person in class who knows how to handle things the right way. Winya is a real fashion freak who loves clothes, footwear and other accessories. One of the boldest girls in class and stands up for right things only. She is awesome and sweet. Gets teased by all the guys in class for various reasons which have least effected her in anyways. Good Public Speaker and has a lot of common sense with which she oozes us all. I hate the way she speaks Tamil even though she is from down south herself.

To be continued…

PS: Guys, I have my exams starting from the fourth of November. I’ll try to read up the posts and keep you updated about my first blogovesary.

The tribute continues 2….

Roll No:16 Pradap Kumar: He is like this big boy of class. He remodels bikes and cars and loves it. He changed his pulsar into something totally crazy and funky which looks gr8 to me atleast. He is one of those hostel guys and comes to college once or twice a week. Most of the time, these guys are boozed or sleeping! Every night is PARTY night there. I kinda feel jealous about it. Pradap is from kovai and is very proud about it. He looks silent and quite but in reality, he is a terror. He once lost his phone and was very upset about it because he had that phone for more than 3 years. Some sort of girl friend sentiment, I guess. Lol. Rowdy Pradap

Roll No:17 Shiva: Ah… Shiva. He is like this one crazy guy whose leg is pulled by all the guys and girls in class. He comes up with some of the mokkaiest of statements in the history of mokkais. The best part is that he never is afraid about anybody. He lives in hostel too. The only guy, who doesn’t drink or smoke among them. He is honest, sincere and very passionate about this course. He is a sweet heart. I talk a lot to him and we help a lot during exams and studies and stuff. One guy who liked my blog and wanted to start one for himself after seeing mine.(:P). Shiva, you are the one of the craziest friend I ever had and will always be there.. Thanks again for your friendship.

Roll No:18 Marudhu Pandian: Future Finance Minister!!! Well, may be, you never know. Actually, his father is a hard core politician so since Marudhu has done Finance, he would want to be the next FM. And also he is planning to start up a new institute for MBA called MIPM(Marudhu’s Institute of Planning and Management). He is a macho man!! Looks like a army guy and but not so rough n tough. He was in love with a girl but they broke up, but he still loves her. He called himself “ BIG BABY” Hope you understand what it mean.. Still a baby in a grown body.

Roll No: 19 Ajith Bohra: He is a male chauvinist. He acts as if girls are meant to be under his feet. I really don’t care about what he thinks and perceives about girls and if he is such a thing, I don’t give a damn about it either. You hardly see him in class. Doesn’t really respect girls and also thinks that we are meant for only carrying babies and cook for men. Such kinda guys are just not worth talking about.

Roll No: 20 Neelam : She is a short girl. Very cute and loves to wear long tops. She is engaged already. Can’t wait to get married next year. Whenever she does presentation, its hard to see her stand because the podium is bigger than her, so she gets teased a lot by the guys for that but still doesn’t care about it. She does all her on time and is good at studies. She is a doll and pretty cool to have her as a friend.. You can count on her and she is always ready to help you whenever needed.

The tribute continues..

Roll No:7 Fadil: Referred as fidil or lots of others things which I dont want to mention. Thats because I said no bias. lol. Fadil is a great guy!! He is quite and sweet. He is sort of like a loner in class. Nobody pays attention to him but that guy has some serious thought process and knows what he does. He gets irritated by most of my classmates but don’t really care about it. The attitude I like in him. I think he should be more attentive and more punctual in class( who talking about that!!)
Roll No 8 and 9 have also left class and joined the other section.
Roll No: 10 Hariharan Nothing much to write.. I don't know what to say...
Roll No:11 left the building. Its stupid this college doesn’t remove them and replace the roll numbers below…
Roll No:12 Jagdev Small boy. hardly seen in class or college. appears once in a while like the rains in Chennai. Nothing much to say but he has a lot of talent at that very young age..
Roll No:13 Jayesh According to me, he is the only one who is and acts like an MBA in class. Jayesh is well composed and good in things that he does. He is like this only intelligent guy in class who asks sensible questions which are accepted by the faculty. He is a hard core banker and atleast knows where he wants to be in his life( unlike like others with no sense of responsibility). Good guy, easy-going and I love your smile. So keep smiling which is the best thing about you!! :)
Roll no:14: left the building!!
Roll No: 15 Mukesh : He never attends class except for test so nothing much about him from my side, may be the guys would know something!!!

A Tribute to Fall-winter 2008-10/Finance-2 IIPM,Chennai

This is about my class the one which I’ve studied and changed for just to be with them. This is going to the last few more months that we will all be seeing each other and after that, god knows where we will be. I love my class and I’m very proud of each and everybody, no matter what. It is said the post grads students are more mature and know how to behave and are responsible but my class.(PGP/fw0810/f2) has the worst of records for being the worst Post Graduation Class in the history of IIPM. We are so naughty, arrogant, always getting into trouble, thinking out of the box, we never study, copy in exams, play most of the time. Our presentations are the worst sometimes but also the best most of the time. 1st semester in the history, we had 40 arrears in marketing which never happens in any class as we all love our professor, Mr . Satheesh Krishnamurthy. Enough of all the talk about how irresponsible and arrogant we are.

This post is about each and every person in my class. its going to be quite a lengthy one and split it into smaller ones since we have about 45 in class, so please excusez-moi !! :), but I'll make sure you’ll enjoy reading every minute of it!!!

Very important note: I am not being bias with anybody. This is my perception about you.

Roll No:1 Mohamed Arif – We call him “Call rep” ,  “Mechanic”, “Computer operator”, etc… RF is a very sweet and funny guy!! always there when you need him. He has a Dubba (useless) Yamaha bike. Takes all the college magazines and puts it in the old paper shop and takes the money. Actually these magazines are meant for us to read but we don’t so as well make money out of it.  RF is like the best commentator in class. We comment lots of stuff when the class are going on. RF is one in a million and “US Goner”( a term coined by Ram Prasad, who will come in the later part of these posts) meaning a person going to US. Glad to have known you !!

Roll No:2 Arun Chakaravathy- The King of masses. The cute, chubby and very friendly Arun. Where to start?? One of the first few friends who stand by me every time. He is a man of the problems. Arun is very naughty!! Keep giving against statements. Arun is very close to my heart and will always be there. I share a very special kind of friendship with him. We’ve shared a lot and in class, we always sit together. Talk a lot during lectures about jobs, placements, life, love, friendship, family, cooking( well he teaches me that). He is the demo guy. He hates coming to college such a lazy goose and blames others for it which I keep telling not to do. Arun, The bond between us should never break. Hope so.

Roll No:3 Mrs. Priyanka – The married woman in class!! Strict officer. I don’t blame her for being that. I admire her sense of control over the things in her life. She lives with a fellow classmate as the husband is in Australia. She was kinda close to me at the beginning of the college and then things changed. We had a lot difference of opinion and she has a attitude problem. If anyone asks her for help, then she’ll be like “ Do I have to” or “ Why should I help you?”  Some times, things get too annoying when she comment on every presentation which goes on. She is authoritative and like to be the Boss. She is kinda okay something. I like her self- confidence and hate her behaviour and attitude. May be that's wrong for me!! She is a unique piece, btw. No substitutes there, Priyanka. Good to have met a character like you in my life.

Roll No:4 This guy left my class. I don’t even remember the name… There are certain specimens like that. :)

Roll No:5 Shankar – Shanki is a very sincere and loyal person. This does not include the main purpose of joining this college- Academics. Shankar stays in a house with a few guys from the same class. They always come in and go out as a gang. Shankar loves his girl and he is constantly on the phone with her. He is such a jolly good fellow.. And likes this girl called Shivangi in class. ( hope that poom doesn’t know about it ). He is a sweetheart and lacks the confidence !! I think he is a very able and capable person who will do great things in the future, only if he concentrates on them. Shankar hats off to you. Thanks for being my friend.

Roll No:6 Dhilip Kumar- This guy is looks small but is intellectually capable of lot of things. He knows when and what to do. He joined in the second year as he came from other section as we where shifted. Kinda like this padips in class( geek), sweet, innocent, talks a lot.  He is ready to help anybody.  Dhilip is cool and gives all this work on time. Never misses out to have fun along with my class. Its great to know you.

To be continued….

Smiling @ strangers…

andrew-super-smile

I was past the bridge on kotturpuram. Suddenly, I notice a woman walking past me with her baby. It must have been girl because of the charm and the looks of it. I was so touched when that baby girl who was half asleep woke up, just to give me a smile and then got back to her sleep.  I was thrilled. It gave me a great and refreshing look which I carried the whole day and passed on to all the people I met and made a difference in their day too..

Once small twinkle smile from a god-like-baby made my day as well as a few others whom I influence. No fights, no frowns, no anger, no sorrow… Just plain and simple happiness which kept me on the whole day. I dint even fall asleep during my 3 hrs class. Amazing, isn’t it? And all it took was just a smile. I loved it. So I plan to make the best of everyday. I smile and make others smile. This morning, I was in my car with my windows fully down and while passing through that same bridge, I was closely followed by a father who was taking his daughter to school. The girl had bandaged her hand. She must have met with an accident and was looking very miserable in that state. All I did was look @ her and smile. You should have seen how her face lit up. She was also smiling back at me and trying to wave to me forgetting that her hand was bandaged. Then I waved back at her and we went our ways. I really don’t know whether I’ll see her the next day too but one smiling girl made the difference. The power of smile. I love it and very thankful to all those people who smile and make other people’s day. After all, we ultimately want to  be happy by the end of the day.

PS: There is another reason why I smile at strangers. This is just between us. You also get to smile at all the cute, smart and handsome guys on the bike early in the morning… Haaaaaaa… So refreshing… Now that also makes your day….Don’t you think girls??? LOL

Ending life

Its hard to get away from life, easier to end life rather than face the agony, pain, sorrow or shame. Yes, all of us have to go through pain or sorrow @ some point of our life even the TATAs and BIRLAs have to face it. These are just a mile stone for us to grow using this. All failures are stepping stones to success. Someone, somewhere, knew that life isn’t about dying!!

I got a call from an old friend today!! She was crying when I picked up the call. I asked her what was the problem? She said that the guy she loved for more than 3 years has rejected her and married a rich girl. She was ashamed to face her parents since she was stubborn about marrying him all these years. She has been crying for the past one month, not going to office regularly or eating properly. All she could think about was DYING. She told me that she wanted to talk to me about this before she died. Little did she realize that I could get her out of it by the time the call was over. I thanked god for once for giving me the power of convincing her. It took me about 3 hours of talking. It was unbelievable how Love can change us. She was scared about the relationship which she had with him. They were intimate and sexually involved. I had to tell her that this was the end of everything. She was scared about her future and what would the husband think about her.. Obviously, all these thoughts clouded her like hell. Pavam. I pity her.. She was such a sensible person. So responsible about what she wanted to do in life yet when it came to love, she chose the wrong guy. I had to convince her that life has to go on. I made her promise that she wouldn’t try anything stupid again. I hope it doesn’t occur in her minds again.
In India, more than 1,00,000 people die due to suicide in a year which is a very sad thing.  Love, family pressure, loneliness, health issues, failures, loss, exams et all are some of the reason for people to suicide. Sneha, this is an NGO which is a suicide prevention helpline. It helps people to get out of these feeling of ending life. If these depressed people talk about their situation, they have 70% chance of getting out of the emotion. I volunteered once and I got a girl from a girl who was in her first year of college and she was devastated because some A** Hole harassed her sexually while travelling to a nearby place. Since that area was quite and no one around, he took advantage of her. Thank god, she dint get raped but she was very upset about it and this was killing her. No one to talk to. She could tell it to anyone. I cried while talking to her, so I gave the call to one of the seniors who handled her call and convinced her not to do anything stupid. When I still think about it, I start to get tears from my eyes. Its so bad, don’t you think. You can also volunteer to help bring life to another human. I did and I got the sense of satisfaction that none other activity in my life would give.
You can contact them through the website Sneha, or call up the number 044-2460050. Help bring back life. They are open 24hrs a day.

Not alone

When Someone I care about
is going through a hard time,
I feel it too, I can’t make things
better for you, but I can tell you
that you are not alone and
that you can count on me
if you need anything
even if it’s only a hug
or a smile

Broken heart

It's been a long time now
Since you broke my heart
Thought i could easily get over it
Knowing what I did was just right
But here i am
Still holding back the
Feelings i still have
I can't let you go no matter what...
I still can't mend my broken heart!

"Hey sexy lady"

You guys must all be wondering what I'm going to say in this post. Its nothing to do about sex or may be. If you had watched Sun Tv for the past one month you have noticed that this song " Hey Sexy Lady" Promo of the movie Ninaithale Inikkum. Since Sun TV was promoting their own "MOVIE" in their own "CHANNELS", you would have seen it like a 100 times a day. Same thing happens in Sun music, K TV and also Chutti TV. So literally all of us were only seeing this a dozen time at an hours time on the TV. We, at home, all the tamil channels together so that we can keep changing it for convince sake.

Last week, my cousin POOJA visited me. She came home because her mom had come to help my sister pack for her trip abroad. So it was my duty to keep Pooja out of site so that they will be able to do their work peacefully. ( Pooja can be a pain-in-the-b*tt sometimes). Since I gel with her very well, I was given this responsibility. She was playing some Dora games in my laptop and suddenly she started singing the song " Hey Sexy lady". I was shocked and terrified. I mean, it dint affect me when I was watching this song all the while on TV or when I could see Prithiviraj dancing with some item girl. It was such a shock when I heard my 5yrs old cousin sing it. I told her immediately where did she hear it( such a obvious question, of course). She coolly replied on Sun TV and also said that she loved song. And she said, " Akka, en class la ellarukum Prithiviraj na romba pudikum." Meaning that her classmates like the actor Prithiviraj very much.

Excuse me!!! :( Have I got something wrong here. A bunch of 5 year olds talking about Prithiviraj. This certainly put me off the whole day. I cannot image even seeing such kind of stuff when I was that young. I remember asking my friend in my 7th standard about Crush. So much of exposure these kids have these days. Actually this was just the beginning. Since I had a mild attack, I switched off the TV (literally pulled out the plug)and laptop and took her out in the evening to have a nice and fresh walk. Since we had a park nearby and we would also have a lot of small kids visiting the park. I thought it would be a great place for her to play and have some fun.

The park was pretty crowded because it was a Saturday. My place is nearby the boat club road in Chennai wherein most of the people are likely to be more well off. And most of the kids were from these places. So I let her to have her own time, while I sat on the bench watching her from a distance. She was playing for the while, when suddenly she stopped and looked at a kid who was dress all glittery and fancy. That glittery girl, for that age, was looking like a real glam doll. She was pretty, cute and very shy. So Pooja went near her and was talking something. I really couldn't hear it so I went little close to eavesdrop on my 5 yr old cousin. She was asking where she had got the dress, those silver coloured sandals and also those lovely barbie girl earring, this girl was wearing. Knowing my cousin, I asked her to stop worrying about all the that and asked to continue playing. She would leave that shy girl who kept running around trying to avoid Pooja from following her. I thought enough was enough and threatened Pooja to take her back home, if she dint stop annoying the poor girl.

My Drama-queen cousin started to cry and I had to give up and let her play for some more time until it got dark. Then took her back home, by that time all the packing work was done. The thing why I was talking about this incident is because I think its not ethical to have those poor kids know about all these stuff only when they are just old enough to eat food by themselves. Of course, they will have their time to get to know all that they are so eager to know until them I hope they stay clean. Clear instruction are given to my aunt not to let her watch TV for more than 1 hour a day and that too only Chutti TV or Pogo or Cartoon network.

You're beautiful

My life is brilliant.
My love is pure.
I saw an angel.
Of that I'm sure.
She smiled at me on the subway.
She was with another man.
But I won't lose no sleep on that,
'Cause I've got a plan.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.

Yeah, she caught my eye,
As we walked on by.
She could see from my face that I was,
Fucking high,(Real version)
Flying high,(clean version)
And I don't think that I'll see her again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.
You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,
I will never be with you.

PS: Song reminds me of the love of a man which is very rare these days.

Teachers: Now & Then

This post has been published by me on the occasion of the Teachers' Day as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 2; the second edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.
Teachers mould the lives that they influence. Lessons learned from teachers remain with their students throughout life. Teachers that break down barriers and reach into the souls of the students that they are responsible for do not get the recognition or gratitude they have earned. Many teachers are exhausted from their workload and responsibilities. They have their own families, financial and life stresses that challenge them along with everyone else. We should always respect our teachers. Teachers need encouragement and support from the community to feel that their devotion to students is appreciated.

Socrates was an example of a good teacher. He considered himself a learner as well as a teacher. For Socrates, love and friendship were the proper contexts for the pursuit of wisdom and goodness. Socrates saw himself only as a catalyst. He felt it was not his teaching, but actually the power of the Divine which enabled the person he was talking with to improve himself.

In India 5th September is celebrated as Teachers' day. 5th September is the birthday of a great teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. When Dr. Radhakrishnan became the president of India in 1962, some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate 5th September, his "birthday". In reply, Dr, Radhakrishnan said, "instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud privilege if September 5 is observed as Teachers' day". The request showed Dr.Radhakrishnan's love for the teaching profession. From then onwards, the day has been observed as Teachers' Day in India.

This is how we have come know of how teacher’s day is celebrated in India. Now for the topic of Teachers: Now & Then.

I would like to take up the example of Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam. To me, I consider him as one of the best Presidents and Teachers of India. It is an honour for us to possess such a great personality to support and encourage us into the New India which we all dream of. This dream can only be fulfilled if we have the right type of Teachers to guide us.

It is said that on an average a student spends upto 25,000 hours in his life till 10+2. The lives of the students are more influenced by the teachers and the school environment. Therefore, the school must have the best of teachers with ability to, teach and love teaching and build moral qualities. Teachers should become role models. Similarly, the student must be alert to build himself with best of qualities and to get ignited with a vision for his or her future life.

Teachers are different when time goes on. Dr. Kalam said that he had three different teachers who thought him three different things in life which made him what he is today. First, being his father who taught him moral value system which needs to followed throughout his life. Secondly, the teacher who became his role model by showing how a bird flies both theoretically and practically. This made him shape up his profession and this was his inspiration for his profession as a rocket scientist. Finally, his professor in college who made him understand his creative professional capability which led to building confidence and will power to make a design, to make a product, to make a system to overcome the problems faced in it which led him to greater heights in his life.

This above note shows us how the teachers can mould the life of an individual and bring about a change in the environment and society as a whole. This was role of teachers, then.

Now, as we have all experienced teachers still make quiet a lot of influence on us like Dr. Abdul Kalam. I remember some of my very own teachers who could never be forgotten in my life. Mrs. Mangalam Ma’am was a very strict teacher. I still remember my ears paining for days after that one twist which she gives us if we had done a mistake. I used to cry and crib about it, but I realized that if hadn’t I got that twist, I would have never gotten myself interested and involved in her subject MATHS which is considered to be the most important subject. If it hadn’t been for her I wouldn’t have learnt it better.
Then there was Miss. Mahalakshmi, my commerce & accounts teacher who would never pay attention to me. I loved her teaching and would envy my friends who all get her attention. I wanted to score high in my exams and prove it to her that I was capable of anything no matter how difficult it was. This was my first step towards hard work and dedication. So even though there are teachers now who influence us in a way by making us stronger for the outside world. Not only does the student learn, but the teacher shapes his life with great dreams and aims.
I also learnt from my PT teacher Miss. Shanti Ma’am who taught me the courage to stand up to something right. She taught me that boys are not the ones who are always right and girls also have the right to stand up and fight. So there are a lot of teachers who influenced us to become a better person.

Among us there are a lot of people who teach us how to live and love and experience who are also considered as teachers for life. Eventhough, we are in a fast paced life, we should take the time out to go and visit the people who taught us the first things in life. It gives them the sense of satisfaction that no money can buy. Finally I would like to quote Dr. Kalam words,” Every one of us in this planet creates a page in human history irrespective of who he/she is. I realize my experience is a small dot in human life, but that dot has a life and light. This light, let it light many lamps.”
I dedicate this post to all my teachers who have been so supportive of me and made me what I’m today. Thanking you all for your kind guidance through my thick and thin. Happy Teachers Day. Jai Hind.

Evolution of Marketing-----Marketing class continues...

I think Marketing lesson are very useful for both the consumers and as well as the sellers or producers. It will make both the parties understand each others mind i.e. Consumers can understand what products are produced, for what purpose and how it can be useful for them or  also get the bad side by seeing whether it does have a use or are they just to induce people to buy it.

Producers or the marketers who market their products should also understand the needs of the consumers and try to satisfy it accordingly. They should understand that people buy things for a purpose and not because they like the product. For eg : The sole purpose of Pespi or Coca Cola's existence is : To Quench Thirst which can also be done by water or lemon juice but how you make them change their views about what to drink. So accordingly, they have to understand this to penetrate into the minds of the consumers and which will also help them succeed.

So here I'm to tell you all that I know about marketing from both the point of view or just a common view:
To understand marketing, we have to know how it evolved, lets understand that.

Evolution of Marketing Concepts:
1. Production Concept:
This happened in the world after the industrial revolution, wherein goods were just produced and they were just induced the customers to buy without any purpose.

2. Product Concept:
This was when all the industries started facing a challenge called as competition wherein they had to compete against each other for survival. So thats when they at least tried to bring about the needs of the customers.
3. Selling Concept:
It is said that this was when people started dreading the salesmen and marketers who tried to give products because they had too much competition. They were treated as fraud and cheaters because all they did was sell whether it was needed or not.
4. Marketing Concept:
Somewhere after the selling concept, they realized that it was never gonna work unless they try to satisfy the customers(finally). So they tried to identify the needs of their customers and developed a product accordingly.
5. Customer Concept:
This is when the first phase of customization took place wherein the customers were treated as kings and they also identified that every potential customer had a different need to be satisfied with the same product.
6. Societal Marketing Concept:
This phase if when all that Go Green and other Eco- Friendly products were produced as they realized the ill effects of global warming and other harm to the environment. This was just a recent development as we all know.
7. Holistic Marketing Concept:
This is like the concept of saying that the whole company has to work upon just one factor: Satisfy the customer's need. Be it the Finance or HR or Admin or any other department which had to follow this thumb rule. ' The customer is king.'
8. Strategic Marketing Concept:
This is the latest one, which has been added lately. At this stage, it is said the whole world has become an experience economy. For eg: When we buy a phone, we want to touch, feel and use it before it sinks into our minds that this what we need. Why this has evolved over this time is because, we have so much information available so the customers know more than what we as marketers know.

Likewise, these concepts can get an addition any day because the time keeps changing so does markets.

PS: This is my 200th post. I'm so overwhelmed by your support. Thank you friends.
