Unnai Pol Oruvan

I'm a great great great great to the power of infinity fan of Kamal Hasan. I always looked forward to his movies and I'm looking forward to this one too. I've heard that he doesn't show any kind of heroism in his movie. But of course, its a remake of the Hindi movie- A WEDNESDAY. Music is composed by his daughter Shruti hasan. She tried her hand in acting and came out with her first flick in Hindi, Lucky with Imraan Khan which dint give her a good break. Lets hope this one atleast does it to her in music. Here is the Trailer and Promo Song of the movie. I usually don't like remakes but I'm expecting this one after seeing the trailer in satyam the other day. So here it is for your eyes:

Paakathey

This song is dedicated to HIM. I hate it when you look at me like that. I just cannot take my eyes off you when you look at me like that... please don't see me like that. Your looks kills me everyday. It takes my breath away and when I think about it and see that you are not mine in reality, its hurts... a lot. Don't see me like that. Paakathey...

That's the way it is

My blogger friend said this was the song I should believe in because I should never give up my love for no reason... This song was one of my favourite. Never thought it would have an real impact in my life.. Well now it did.. Thanks ApocalypsE...

I can read your mind and I know your story
I see what you're going through
It's an uphill climb, and I'm feeling sorry
But I know it will come to you

Don't surrender 'cause you can win
In this thing called love

When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

When you question me for a simple answer
I don't know what to say, no
But it's plain to see, if you stick together
You're gonna find a way, yeah

So don't surrender 'cause you can win
In this thing called love

When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

When life is empty with no tomorrow
And loneliness starts to call
Baby, don't worry, forget your sorrow
'Cause love's gonna conquer it all, all

When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

That's the way it is
That's the way it is, babe
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

Amma...

I met a friend who I had lost contact with for about two years. His name is Renga. Very good person and friend. He had lost his mother when he was in 10th std. Very unpleasant news for all of us. He loved his mother very much and was close to her because he was her only son. When this happened, he lost hope on life. It took him some time to get back on life again. He loves to sing because his mom loves to hear him sing. His mother was a classical singer so he was put to singing classes when he was young. After she passed away, he would cry to us singing this song. This was a very touching song for him as well as for us(his friends). Its very sad when you lose some person who you love the most. Even though, I didn't know his mom in person, I respected her a lot and we will defintely miss you ma. This song and post dedicated to Renga and his mom.

VENNILA KABADI KUZHU... Worth Seeing!!!!

First thing I like about the movie is that is it definitely its name!! No short cuts.. Just plain Vennila kabadi kuzhu.

The movie is directed by a new guy called Sushidharan. Well for the first time, he has definitely done a pretty good job. The character select is apt.. The lead role played by vishnu speaks for itself. He doesn't show any heroism: normal, plain, simple guy living in a village.

The movie is about how a gang of young men from a village near Madurai goes to state finals in a Kabadi match and wins it, Of course. This gang consist of people from different castes and one thing that bind them is KABADI. They are well-known for losing all the matches that they have played. Fed up with the insults by the family and neighbour, they decide to win it in a state finals. This were a coach (kishore) comes in. He is ditched by a team for some reason so here he is to help this Kuzhu to win  it. There is defintely a romantic side to the movie. This were the hero marimuthu falls in love with this gal whose name is never revealed in the movie. She comes to the village to attend thiruvizha(its kinda like a festival). She falls in love with him at first sight. They talk to each other but the hero forgets to ask her till the end then she leaves after a week promises to met him in the next Thiruvizha. They do their talking more in their eyes which is kinda sweet. The end has a little twist to it which makes us sit back and have a few tears in the eyes.

Certain things that struck me was the comedy scenes which are really cool. The scene where one of this team member is entering into the contest for eating 50 parotas.. That was hilarious and the scene where they feel like crying when they won their first match ever. Another thing is the dialogues which are so real, has a genuine approach to each character. I do not want to tell you more about it becoz it would spoil the fun of going and watching the movie. But I would say it is definitely worth spending money and watching it. Hats off to them. Personally, It has an impact on me. I think it would have the same on you too!!! Good movies like this should be encouraged more and thanks to susidharan for it...

OOPS!! forgot to tell you about the music.. The songs are too good. The song " Lesa Parakudhu" sung by Karthik and Chinmayi is awesome. One could go on listening to it. The song" Pada Pada" sung by Karthik again is good too. I think Karthik should sing more songs in other movies too.LOL.Did I mention the music is scored by Selvaganesh( a new comer too!!:-))

Naan Kadavul to release in 220 theatres!!!!

The long wait is over at last! The hard work of Bala and producer K.S Sreenivasan of Naan Kadavul has paid of handsomely. It is good news that the distribution rights of Naan Kadavul has been sold for a sizeable price worldwide, thanks to the efforts of the duo, Bala and Sreenivasan in providing the right launch pad for the film. The music of Illayaraja is already popular following the gala audio launch. What induced more interest in the film for the distributors is the thrilling trailer that is making rounds on all television channels.

The marketing strategy used by Bala and team is instrumental in selling all the distribution rights for the film. Now the film is all set to hit 220 theatres worldwide on 6th February.

Naan Kadavul was first announced in 2005 and since then has undergone numerous delays, changes in cast and crew and more than two different producers until K.S.Sreenivasan took up the project for good. The film is a result of more than three years of persistence over prolonged uncertainty.

Naan Kadavul is expected to be a landmark film for all those involved in it. Arya’s maniacal makeover with long locks and Pooja’s drubbed and worn down look as a beggar are widely being touted as national award calibre performances. With so many things going for it, the industry is pinning its hopes on Naan Kadavul to provide the first big hit of 2009 after Pongal turned out to be an average experience

COPY CAT KILL THE RAT!!!

Have you heard this song???

Unakena naan from Kadhalil Vizhunthen
This is a very nice song!! Must have heard it a lot of times right?? yup that song was sung by my classmate
Ramya... she was a close friend in school. She has a gr8 voice, but this song was copied.. Yes some
of them would have known but not all. This song was copied key by key, beat by beat from the following
song. Its a song by Rihanna called Unfaithful.
I wanted to tell this becoz my mom says that Indian music industry has lost its creativity. She always
believes that old songs are best. These days, the standard of music is down except for a few people.
All I am asking is please make music much better than what it is today because Music has taken us to the
next level. You can see that Indian Music has World recognition.
And kudos to A.R Rehman for making it happen...
As he says, Be Indians and our Talents.
Jai Hind!!

The song that affects me a lot!!!

Life has many turns. Mine has also had some.  These turns, be it good or bad, I have always associated myself with music. I think most of us have always had music associated with us at some point of time. My favorite song is Vasegara from Minnale, but this one song which will always be there in my life .

This Song  Minnale from May Madham. It was the song which always reminds me of my long lost love. This love is ery close to my heart as my guy always sings it to me.
He was there singing all these songs, taking care of me as if i was his everything and the next day I was nothing to him.  God, I hate Love for the affects it has on all of us. Coming back to the song,
it is composed by the world famous A.R Rehman. He is truely a legend.  I dedicate this song to all the pple around me and making my life worth living. It truely remarkable how MUSIC is so addicative. My friend Arun who is into Rock music these days really loved these songs. I miss my school life. Great days for everybody in our lives. Will tell about that later in another blog. Life has its own ups and downs. I believe only Music can help us keep our calms be it happiness or sadness. I am one person who just listen to music just like that. But until I reached a stage when music was everything to me when it was sung by my guy to me. I feel that life is like music which has its rhythm. We ebb n flow like it. The tune always keep playing at the back of our minds.
