Déjà vu

Today I had this small moment where I felt that little moments have special meaning. I was walking towards the shop nearby my place when I saw a small girl not more than 6 or 7 was walking along with her little sister. I guess they were just shopping like me. This reminded me of how I used to walk with my youngest sister everyday from school.

  Once, in school, I had project day wherein all our projects are displayed while we explain our own. My parents were not able to attend that particular day but we were supposed to get my driver to pick us up from school. We lived only a few streets away from school yet we had a main road to cross so they wouldn’t let us go alone. I was dressed up as “ Sarojini Naidu. I was in the 5th standard. :))) I was wearing a saree. So the day got over as fast as it could. Everyone loved my recitation about Sarojini Naidu. So I went down to get my youngest sister from her class Pre-KG. I was waiting along with her for our car. What I learnt from the watchman was that the driver had gone with my other sister and had asked me to wait there with Gayu, my youngest sister. It was almost for 20 minutes, I waited along with her. My sister was almost in tears because she was hungry. I gave her some water yet she was looking so troubled. So I took my chances, took the saree off me because I couldn’t walk with it. Of course I had my shorts and t-shirt under it. So I took hold of my sister’s hand and crossed the road on my own gripping that little thing’s hand to hard and walked home.

When I got home, my sister was too scared that she hugged me till mom came. Which was so sweet and I felt proud being the eldest. Obviously, the driver didn’t see us walking so he had waited and searched for us. Came back home to find us in our neighbour’s house. I was in trouble to take such a risk but I had to because my sister was almost crying. And it was worth it because of the hug from her which was priceless. :)) Now, time has changed. She has grown bigger and taller than me. She has her own teen issues to deal with and all the sisterly fights we have. She has fought with me and we aren’t talking to each other for about 5 months now yet I see her everyday. I miss that hugging sister who was looking at me as if that her life depended on me. After all, I am her BIG sister. I miss her.. My mom would always keep reminding about this incident whenever she had a chance. One moment which is so close to my heart. I wouldn’t let go off her hand ever..:)) Some things can never be replaced.

Roll No:16 Pradap Kumar: He is like this big boy of class. He remodels bikes and cars and loves it. He changed his pulsar into something totally crazy and funky which looks gr8 to me atleast. He is one of those hostel guys and comes to college once or twice a week. Most of the time, these guys are boozed or sleeping! Every night is PARTY night there. I kinda feel jealous about it. Pradap is from kovai and is very proud about it. He looks silent and quite but in reality, he is a terror. He once lost his phone and was very upset about it because he had that phone for more than 3 years. Some sort of girl friend sentiment, I guess. Lol. Rowdy Pradap

Roll No:17 Shiva: Ah… Shiva. He is like this one crazy guy whose leg is pulled by all the guys and girls in class. He comes up with some of the mokkaiest of statements in the history of mokkais. The best part is that he never is afraid about anybody. He lives in hostel too. The only guy, who doesn’t drink or smoke among them. He is honest, sincere and very passionate about this course. He is a sweet heart. I talk a lot to him and we help a lot during exams and studies and stuff. One guy who liked my blog and wanted to start one for himself after seeing mine.(:P). Shiva, you are the one of the craziest friend I ever had and will always be there.. Thanks again for your friendship.

Roll No:18 Marudhu Pandian: Future Finance Minister!!! Well, may be, you never know. Actually, his father is a hard core politician so since Marudhu has done Finance, he would want to be the next FM. And also he is planning to start up a new institute for MBA called MIPM(Marudhu’s Institute of Planning and Management). He is a macho man!! Looks like a army guy and but not so rough n tough. He was in love with a girl but they broke up, but he still loves her. He called himself “ BIG BABY” Hope you understand what it mean.. Still a baby in a grown body.

Roll No: 19 Ajith Bohra: He is a male chauvinist. He acts as if girls are meant to be under his feet. I really don’t care about what he thinks and perceives about girls and if he is such a thing, I don’t give a damn about it either. You hardly see him in class. Doesn’t really respect girls and also thinks that we are meant for only carrying babies and cook for men. Such kinda guys are just not worth talking about.

Roll No: 20 Neelam : She is a short girl. Very cute and loves to wear long tops. She is engaged already. Can’t wait to get married next year. Whenever she does presentation, its hard to see her stand because the podium is bigger than her, so she gets teased a lot by the guys for that but still doesn’t care about it. She does all her on time and is good at studies. She is a doll and pretty cool to have her as a friend.. You can count on her and she is always ready to help you whenever needed.

A Trip To Thiruvannamalai

In the month of august, the family plans a trip to Thiruvannamalai. It is a temple for Lord Shiva and known as Annamalaiyar there. To know more about it, please visit Thiruvannamalai. This is one of the famous temples in south India and also you will find a very peaceful Ramana Ashram here.

This trip happens every year and this is my 10th year consecutively. Every year on August 27th being my dad's birthday we celebrate it with a special Pooja and Ana Dhanam. This year being special because he was turning 50. I really cannot thing of my dad that old because he never looks like one. He still looks like the person who took me to walks early in the morning or wake me up for school or college( he still does it, though). So for word sake, he has turned 50 and will be living another 50 more years with all of us. So this special pooja is a sort of ceremony which happens if you guys pay that extra money. Actually, as a family we hardly go out and this is one of the trip we make every year. It about 4 hours travel up and down. During the travel, I mostly sleep or read a books or listen to songs on the mobile phone. This time I preferred to sleep because we had to get up early in the morning to travel. I usually get to sleep on my mom's lap. This is one the best thing that keeps happening to me, every year during this trip because we usually don't have that time to do this kinda stuff and I love to sleep on my mom's lap. But this year, it was different. I got to sleep on my dad's lap. Its been like more than 10 years since I've done that. Ah... it was bliss. My dad was stroking my hair while I was pretending to sleep. I dint sleep the whole time. I was just so happy that I had a smile the whole way. Something told me that this would not happen very often. Just imagine a 23 year old on the lap of the 50 year old father.. Its a beautiful feel being with my dad.. I also love to lie on my dad's shoulder!! Being with your mom is a different feeling whereas with your dad is something good. So I was feeling so wonderful. And still happy about it!!! :P

Yesterday, 11th of August was one of the most unforgettable days of my life. I really don’t want to remember it but it comes  back all the time. I just cannot forget the day because three years ago, i did one of the biggest mistake which i shouldn’t have done. Since I’m very impulsive and do thing just at that moment never thinking what will happen in the future. I hate that character of mine. Must have got it from my mom. She is just like me.
Btw, Guess what I did after cribbing for that reason:
Read a book which I’ve been waiting for a very long time to do.

Saw Harry  Potter and the Half Blood Prince on DVD which I couldn’t do in at the cinemas because of exams. They have changed the story too much. Harry is not a flirt plus they never tease Dumbledore in the book. Lots of changes, meaning more addition apart from changing most of the stuff. I loved the part Ron says, ” Hermione” in the hospital when he is unconscious. Some teen love huh? Anyways, they never showed the memories of how Voldermort gets his grandfather’s ring and how he kills his father for abandoning mother. And I don’t know why the movies mostly concentrate on Harry and Hermione in the story, Ron is one the best characters ever and he should be given a lot to talk because its hilarious. BTW, I hate Ron going behind Lavender Brown and snogging her all the time. It was horrible.

I’ve lost a lot of weight during the exams which has been mentioned by quite a few people in class. This reduction in weight has made me fit into those old pair of jeans which was my favourite and I’m very happy about that. Since my sister is leaving for UK for her higher education, preparations for that are happening in full flegde. I’m fully relaxed. Its only tv, laptop, books and me. HO ho ho…Raji is having the time of her life.I forgot to mention that I’m addicted to this game called POOL MANIA in Zapak. Love it and i’m challenging my friends too.. Not doing much of  the activities outdoor because of the Swine flu which is spreading widely in Chennai. So major actions happen indoor. Planning to go to the movies to see the new prasanna and sneha flick. lets hope i dont come back home with Swine flu and ruin my holidays. Will give you updates on today’s activities tomorrow.

Hurray... I'm done with exams!!! :)

At last finally, my exams are over for this trimester. I have one week which I'm planning to dedicate my time for myself and myself only. Since this MBA started, I've had no time for myself. I thought spending time with my friends means having time for myself. Lately, I've realised that life isn't all about having people around you. I love to spend my time on my personal space," MY BLOG", i want to read and write more. Learn a lot more things and at the same time, have some fun.  Well here I am, with a whole week just for me and my family.
I am going to have so much fun. Join me on this journey of fun and fun only. No worries and sentimental issues. :)

Funny People!

Like every Sunday, today I was taken to see my grandmother..
She is a very sweet mother and grandma. Being a mother's day, she was given a chance to ask everybody any question she likes. First was my mom and after 6 people, I was the last person to be asked.

Here is the typical situation between us:
Grandma: Raji, when are you going to get married?
Raji(me): I have just not found the right girl(kewl)
You should have seen the look at her face, not a million dollar is worth it.
It was definitely a cultural shock to her but every other person at home was laughing their lungs out including my dad. LOL. It was a funny weekend not for my grandma...he he he :)

PS:I'm straight

The ceremony of papad making!!!!!

Its a family tradition that we have to make Papad every year with most of us helping around. Since my grandma has three daughters which of one is my mom, we have this thing happening in my house. My mom being the eldest and the more experienced one in making that liquid( I'm not getting the right words in English)..Okay this liquid is called as Maavu in Tamil. Its a thick liquid which consists of a) Water b) Flour c) Cumin seeds d) Sago( Jawarisi) and last but not the least e) chilli( it depends on your taste). Put all these ingredients together and make a thick paste out of it.

Let it cool down over the night. In the morning, you will find my house flooded with the other two sisters. All are assembled in the terrace in the morning around 6 am and sheets of  plastic are laid on the floor. Then all the ladies in the family put mooruku vadam or other types of vadam.. This process continues for a week with different ingredients like onion vadam or Appalam or others etc. They are dried till they become hard. Then they are separated between the sisters. Its fun fun and totally fun during the whole process. Its like an all- girls party with lots of maavu in your hands. We, the little ones, get to hear a lot of gossips from our moms and grandmother. Its too good and one of the best activity that happens over the summer. My chance of doing this year was missed due to the fact my stupid college has re-opened and the tradition has been broken after several years. This year, I miss it and they will miss me too.

7 things to make sure you are truly happy.

Are we happy with what we are today? Are you happy with everyone around you? Are you having fun? Are you giving your best at any work you do with happiness? If your answer is no, then I ask " why not?'

So then where did happiness go? It hasn't gone anywhere just inside you. Its an internal feeling which can be felt only internally and impossible to obtain from outside things. Sure, they may make you happy initially, but the emptiness will not go away.

Then you ask," so, how can I be happy then?"

Follow these rules:

1. Accept That You Deserve To Be Happy.
If you cannot accept the fact that you are meant to be happy, then you can never be happy. So tell yourself that you are deserve to be happy all the time and you are definitely worthy of it every bit.

2.Accept Who You Are.
Being happy means is accepting who you are: Good, bad, ugly or whatever. Its knowing that you are doing the best you can do, and being content about it. I'm not saying that you would have to ignore what you'd like to improve in you life but if you only see what's missing, you lose out loving what's great about you.

3.Be Comfortable Wherever You are.
Being happy today means being comfortable where you are in the present. Live this moment. You would never know what you would be the next moment. Try to live every bit of the day.

4. Appreciate Your Life.
Be grateful for your life. Whether its your health, job,place, love, food, family or everything around. Wouldn't you live your life differently, if you had known that you were going to live only for 3 months from now? Guess What? You are going to die one day, and what does it matter whether its 3 months or tomorrow.

5. Ask For Help.
Being happy doesn't mean you should keep your problems to your self. It also means that you ask for support, love, guidance you get through with everything with ease.Most of us don't ask for help because we don't want to burden the people around us. But, if someone asked you for assistance, wouldn't you lend a helping hand? Then why wouldn't you let others do the same for you?

6. Do Something Nice For Someone Else.
This could be as simple as holding the door for the person behind you, or as big as volunteering your time to your favorite charity. Your problems become smaller when you are not always thinking about them. When you take the focus off yourself, it is easier to see how great your life really is.

7. Do Something That Will Move You Forward.
Being happy is taking steps that will move you forward. Movement keeps you from feeling like a victim. When you're unhappy, formulating a plan puts you in a different place and helps change your perspective. It also put the power back in your hands!

So, what is it going to take to have you be happy today? How much more of your life do you want to live waiting for "someday" to bring you the happiness you crave? It's up to you to create your own happiness. It's up to you to create a life filled with joy rather than sorrow. Why not choose a life filled with happiness today?

Sextuplets??? What would my mom feel about that?

Today, we were watching this show called Jon & Kate Plus 8. It makes me wonder how the mother can manage twins and sextuplets all at the same time.

We( my sisters and me), made sure that my mom watched that show. It was hilarious how the mother had to keep up with them every single day. My mom, after watching the show, talked about how my dad use to rock the cradle till I sleep. Even with the slightest noise, I would wake up and cry. It was my dad's turn to make me sleep in the night because my mom had enough trouble with me the whole day. Actually, I also heard that he loved doing it. Since I was the first born, I was pampered too much those days. My 1st sister (Aishu) was always the best according to my mom because she never troubled my mom in eating or sleeping. Whenever it was time to eat, she would do it herself. No wonder she is all so plumply and cuddly. Gayu, the youngest of the lot was also a trouble maker just like me. But I was the worst. Am still the worst. Well it all happens :)

We also talked about my cousin sister Pooja who is the worst of all of us in the family. Her mom even cries sometimes due to the pressure. So the next time, we watch that show on TV, we are going to ask her to watch it too..
Its just amazing how Kate tries to be bias to all the kids.
They first had Twins:
Mady and Cara
And four years later, they had Sextuplets
Alexis, Leah, Aaden, Hannah,Collin and Joel.( 3 girls and 3 boys). They all look very cute.
WOW they must have whole lot of fun and hard work taking care of them.
I wonder what my mom would do with Sextuplets, if she had them.
She cannot manage with just the three of us.

Found this one interesting. Well to think about it, maybe I can discover myself when I will be writing something about myself.

1. I wish I was born a boy, not because I don't like to be a girl but just that I feel the guys have more freedom to act according to their will.

2. My dad, my best friend. However, I feel I talk more to my mom than my dad because mom is at home all the time.

3. Secretly, I wish my sister doesn't go abroad next year for higher education. I am going to miss her sooooooooooooooo much!!!!!:-(

4. I have more boys as friends rather than girls because I feel that I can trust a guy rather than a girl.

5. I love to have kids. Everytime I see a cute baby on the road or somewhere else, I would imagine myself as his/her mom. :P

6.Blogging has now become my favourite activity in the whole wide world.

7. I am not perfect. Nobody is. We all learn from mistakes. So do I.

8. I have always hated this particular family which is related to my dad but never showed it out.

9. I sometimes cry in the night, without any sound, thinking that I shouldn't have done certain mistakes.

10. I give a lot of importance to people around me but ignore my family( I take them for granted).

11. My favourite food is biryani which is known to everybody who knows me well. I would eat it for breakfast, brunch,lunch,supper and dinner everyday.

12. I love it when my friends call me "DA". It makes me feel that I am important to them.

13. I am not a feminist but I hate it when guys think that girl are worth less. (They get on my nervous).

14. I wish I had my friend Bharani with me now so that I could hug her and tell her everything in the past and ask her to forgive me.

15. I broke two flowerpot in school when I completed my 12th due to the happiness(naughty me).

16. Once I had no money and was left stranded in the road with just a PCO where there was a blind man. I asked him, if I could make a call and left without paying any money when my friend arrived to resuce me. So I have promised  myself that I should go back and pay that Rs.2 someday.

17. Visit Kumbakonam again and see HIM atleast once again.

18. Goal to achieve in the future: To become future chief minister of Tamil Nadu.

19. I hate girls who act all girly and frizzy.

20. I respect eunuchs and always treat them as a human being.

21. I love to ride on the bike at a speed of 120kmph. (just me alone, but  my dad would say," In your dreams raji!")

22. Laziest of laziest. That me!!

23. Hate to work around the house but was the top performer in my former job.

24. Nothing can be done to erase the past, but I'm not least bothered about what others think or feel about me.( Go to hell!!)

Hey I have obsession towards mobile phones. I never keep anything for more than 8 months. I have changed around 10 mobile phones in the past three years. and my latest one is Motorola z6. Been having it for quite sometime and planning to change it soon. So when I was browsing thru these mobile phones in a website, I came across this mobile phone which was priced at Rs 106,731 /-.

What 1 lacs? Are you sure? Positive. I had the same doubt guys. I went through it and found out that it was true. Why is this phone so expensive? I don't think there are much features as other phones. You should see the phone to believe. It is totally awesome. Looks absolutely stunning. It made me go crazy for a moment. The Logo LG

Here is yet another fascinating Logo. Been wanting to write about a for a long time. Here this is how it goes:

LG

LG is a large South Korean conglomerate, which produces electronics, mobile phones, and petrochemical products and operates subsidiaries like LG Electronics. The LG brand originated from Gold Star, a popular brand name in Korea.




The company now tries to promote its new tagline "Life's Good". The LG logo shown alongside is a fairly interesting logo. As you can see the logo has the alphabets, L & G in the form of a face. The symbol consists of two elements: the LG logo in LG Grey and the stylized image of a human face in the unique LG Red color.

· The letters "L" and "G" in a circle symbolize the world, future, youth, humanity and technology. The symbol also represents LG's efforts to maintain close relationships with our customers worldwide.
