The New Find

Do you want to get rid of boredom?
Loosen its control to regain your freedom!
Lull in your dull life, let it not behold.
You can be out of its clutches and hold!
Being always pensive welcomes melancholy.
This is the culprit of our life’s anomaly.
In busy life, its dwelling is dormant.
Inactivity makes boredom go rampant.
Do something of interest to you.
Or, inculcate liking in whatever you do!
Keep your search on till you find one.
It is extremely rare that you find none?!
Be it whatever, let not lethargy engulf.
Just eat and belch make life miserably tough.
Enthusiasm and eagerness must be kept alive.
These keep the charm of living from going to archive!
Come on and gear up to start afresh and new!
The startling new ‘find’ may belong to only "you"!!!

2009- the year which passed with everything

I was too lazy to start writing what happened in my 2009 but I had a few of my friends who wanted me to write about it. Thank you guys for making me write “SOMETHING” again. Nowadays, I’m too lazy. Life is too boring. All I do is sit around playing Farmville, Cafe world, Happy aquarium and Pet ville. It took up all my precious blogging time. After some nice advice from a few friends( including bloggers) I’ve given up Farmville.. Will do the others to while I get going with other much more important stuff. Enough of my ranting about the present.. lets talk about 2009, the year which had everything.

The beginning was as cool as it will get with all my friends getting close and personal. We had the most funniest and most depressing moments this year. I understood the true meaning of betrayal by a best friend. I cried my wits out but it has to go on and I had others things to worry about. 2009, was tough. Too many friendships were lost and a very few I gained. My sister had also had a tough time getting VISA for her higher education in UK. Learnt a lot people tried to stop that happening. So many huddles and cries, finally, she landed there with no trouble. At least, that's what we thought but she also had some trouble. Thank God, my brother also lives in Leeds to take care of her. People are sometimes so rude and selfish. They do anything to have their life more pleasurable.

A lot of happy things also happened like the time I wrote my first OPEN BOOK exams which was awesome but tiring since we had to write from our laptop and stuff. The final part of the year was okay, I just got lucky to have such wonderful family who stand by my side at any cost. The part where I thought were I would lose my best friends was finally gotten over . Alas, true friendship triumphs… Last but not the least, I got a whole lot of friends and well wishers through blogging.. I’m grateful to all of them for their support and care. Blogging has become a very integral part of my life and I love doing it. Learning new things everyday. Accepting failure as well as success. I feel that every year has its own way of teaching us the most important things in life. Not to forget that we age every year. It is a pleasant living the life as it comes.. That me.. Take life as it comes…. Still going strong in 2010

Not alone

When Someone I care about
is going through a hard time,
I feel it too, I can’t make things
better for you, but I can tell you
that you are not alone and
that you can count on me
if you need anything
even if it’s only a hug
or a smile

Evolution of Marketing-----Marketing class continues...

I think Marketing lesson are very useful for both the consumers and as well as the sellers or producers. It will make both the parties understand each others mind i.e. Consumers can understand what products are produced, for what purpose and how it can be useful for them or  also get the bad side by seeing whether it does have a use or are they just to induce people to buy it.

Producers or the marketers who market their products should also understand the needs of the consumers and try to satisfy it accordingly. They should understand that people buy things for a purpose and not because they like the product. For eg : The sole purpose of Pespi or Coca Cola's existence is : To Quench Thirst which can also be done by water or lemon juice but how you make them change their views about what to drink. So accordingly, they have to understand this to penetrate into the minds of the consumers and which will also help them succeed.

So here I'm to tell you all that I know about marketing from both the point of view or just a common view:
To understand marketing, we have to know how it evolved, lets understand that.

Evolution of Marketing Concepts:
1. Production Concept:
This happened in the world after the industrial revolution, wherein goods were just produced and they were just induced the customers to buy without any purpose.

2. Product Concept:
This was when all the industries started facing a challenge called as competition wherein they had to compete against each other for survival. So thats when they at least tried to bring about the needs of the customers.
3. Selling Concept:
It is said that this was when people started dreading the salesmen and marketers who tried to give products because they had too much competition. They were treated as fraud and cheaters because all they did was sell whether it was needed or not.
4. Marketing Concept:
Somewhere after the selling concept, they realized that it was never gonna work unless they try to satisfy the customers(finally). So they tried to identify the needs of their customers and developed a product accordingly.
5. Customer Concept:
This is when the first phase of customization took place wherein the customers were treated as kings and they also identified that every potential customer had a different need to be satisfied with the same product.
6. Societal Marketing Concept:
This phase if when all that Go Green and other Eco- Friendly products were produced as they realized the ill effects of global warming and other harm to the environment. This was just a recent development as we all know.
7. Holistic Marketing Concept:
This is like the concept of saying that the whole company has to work upon just one factor: Satisfy the customer's need. Be it the Finance or HR or Admin or any other department which had to follow this thumb rule. ' The customer is king.'
8. Strategic Marketing Concept:
This is the latest one, which has been added lately. At this stage, it is said the whole world has become an experience economy. For eg: When we buy a phone, we want to touch, feel and use it before it sinks into our minds that this what we need. Why this has evolved over this time is because, we have so much information available so the customers know more than what we as marketers know.

Likewise, these concepts can get an addition any day because the time keeps changing so does markets.

PS: This is my 200th post. I'm so overwhelmed by your support. Thank you friends.

Heyyyyyyyyy. Another HP movie??

I am a huge fan of Harry Potter.. I love the way she writes. She was one of those people who inspired me to write more and more. This book also brought my friend( bharani) and me together. This book gave us so much to talk about that we never got tired of it. We cried together for Dumbledore dying( which happens in the 6th book), then we had cried for Black's death and we talked about the way the ending in the seventh could have been modified or changed. We discussed about the creativity of this amazing author J.K Rowling and the potential she had. Ron being the funniest character was her favourite and mine too.. We loved Dumbledore and also wanted to study in a school like Hogwarts. It was that fantasy world which we would have loved to travel to.. She wanted to be a witch and we always wanted to believe that there was this world of witchcrafts and wizardry existing now. We thought that someday, we could meet Hagrid.. So many dreams and wishes we shared together.. We loved the little romance between Hermione and Ron and we hated Harry's relationship with Cho Chang. I was so relieved when we knew that Harry fell in love with Ginny @ last.I could still remember that when Harry had his first kiss with Cho, Ron asked him how he felt and then Harry would reply saying that it was wet. Bharani, like my blogger friend, RAJI was a big dreamer. Those days, our home phone bills would hit the sky which, of course, was also followed by scolding from both the parents.

" Your mother died to save you. If there is one thing Voldermort cannot understand, it is love"

One of the famous quotes given by Albus Dumbledore gave the both of so much of importance that we decided to have that quote in our bedroom doors forever. Something just cannot be substituted. So are my memories about Harry Potter and my friend Bharani. "Bharani, If you are out there, reading my blog.. Please get back with me. I want to see the forth coming Harry potter and the Half blood Prince with you. You are the best person who I would never like to miss in my life.. Love you Lots.. Missing you truly..
your friend forever
RAJI"

PS: Go watch the movie Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on 17th July with your friends..

Losing someone shouldn't stop life

Today, my dad lost his best friend. They have been buddies from school and they were really close to each other. They were married almost at the same time so we also got together as a family always. Late Babu uncle, was a joker and he always made us laugh . He had three children who were almost same ages as the three of us. Two girls and a small son. The look on my dad's face made me think about writing this post. I dedicate it to all the people who have lost all their near and dear ones.
Loss is a difficult concept to deal with, especially when it is permanent, and it is something each of us will be forced to face at one point or another throughout our lives. It might come in small forms, such as losing an important textbook necessary for a class. It might come as a bigger issue, such as failing a class and losing your scholarship for school. It could even be the largest form of loss imaginable: the loss of a person. Be it death or otherwise, you may at some point, or might have already lost your best friend, your sister or brother, your parents or children.
Loss leaves the survivor feeling hollow inside. You may go days without eating or nights without sleeping, and you may spend too much time thinking and over-thinking. Loss, especially in the form of death, is one of the most difficult experiences survivors have to live through. Sometimes it feels like you won't go a day without being reminded of the incident, and sometimes you'll feel like it is all you'll ever think about again. Personally, I've been there - I lost grandma last year whose value I realised only after she died.

As difficult as it is to see past something like this at the moment, you will get through it. What is important to remember is you don't have to forget the person you've lost just because they are gone. Sometimes when memories are the only thing left, it is important to grab onto them and not let go.Another important thing to remember is to talk about how you are feeling to other people. Stockpiling and bottling emotions will do nothing constructive - rather, it is destructive. You will decay away inside, and that kind of erosion is not easily repaired. Talking to friends, family, counselors, teachers, doctors or whomever only helps.

Blocking memories rarely ever works, if at all. In fact, recollecting memories with important people might actually help.If you feel like something horrible such as death is all you ever think about, you aren't alone. Many people have lost loved ones and can relate to your situation. It is also healthy to be sad or angry or to wonder why something happened as long as you react to such emotion in a healthy manner.
Don't let loss overtake your life. Losing someone, in death or otherwise, might break your heart, but broken hearts still beat, and you will make it through the tragedy.

Take life as it comes

It is somewhat ironic how people in general react to the circumstances in their lives. Usually when we get the desired outcome you will often hear the phrase “you or I deserve it”. On the contrary, when negative situations happen we often ask: why me? Well, I do not know if anyone deserves or not both the positive and negative instances of their lives. However, there is something that I do know; it helps learning to take life as it comes.

Taking life as it comes does not mean that you should live without setting goals. It means that in negative circumstances you should maintain a positive state of mind. This can be achieve by keeping in mind that whatever comes your way you will be able to handle it. You may wonder how can I know beforehand if, I can handle negative situations? And to be frank, there is no way to know. However, it is up to you to comprehend that life itself is full of surprises both positive and negative ones. It does not matter how well you have planned or lived your life; you will still find yourself learning thru trial and error or suffering over circumstances that you have little control over.

Before you get discourage and start to wonder; then what is the point of taking charge of life if bad things are going to happen anyways? First, understand that this is the whole purpose of taking life as it comes. It’s accepting life issues without staying in a stuck state of mind. It is telling yourself, hey this has happened but, I can get thru it. If you accept this way of thinking you will feel more in control which will help you get rid of unnecessary over worrying. This way instead of interfering with your own judgment you will focus on a more important step of problem solving,” finding the solution”.

Life: A Roller Coaster....

Yesterday, you must have seen my post on betrayal by a long time friend... Things change and people move on. Sometimes when you think about it, it just makes you feel more miserable as if we don't have anything to worry about. Lets just take it up that they are not lucky enough to be our friends anymore. Like I said, things change so do people.

I have also learnt that betrayal can be forgiven and forgotten only that person accept the mistake. If not, well its their choice. Life has many twists and turns like a roller coaster. When you learn to enjoy it, its fun or if you want to make it a miserable ride, you end up puking :( . Today was just those days when you forget all your worries and have fun. If one door is closed, it means you will have a better door the next time. So does in my life. I always thought that friends are the best medicine. But when you have been betrayed by them, its just doesn't feel right. Okay may be some of the friends are bad. Not all of them. Here are a few friends who are making my life as gay as possible.

Today's Activity with some of the coolest friends ever has made me get back what I lost with other so-called friends. What did they do to make me feel sooooooo happy?

Took me on this surprise ride with my eyes closed where I was beaten as well as given ample happiness.
This surprise ride was organized by Praveen Chandar who found out that I wasn't happy for a few days now by just looking at me and watching my activities.

Co-organizer's: Prasanna Venkatesh, Nishanth, Raj murugan and of course, Akila (my only gf in college).
They kidnapped me to from class (half way through it) and took me to Mayajaal  to watch the movie Fast and Furious 4 and then we had lunch @ one of the most attractive places in Chennai which I've never been to all this time. It was so good right next to the beach and then we went boating in Mutukadu. We also went to the nearby beach and @ 6pm, they came to my house to have a mini-tiffin made by my mom. The best part of the day came when my mom loved them all and she also asked to come again ASAP to my place to have this kinda fun again. Thank you guys for making both, my mom and me, happy on the same day. My mom said that talking to these friends made her feel young at heart again. Nishanth has recently lost his mom and he just loved my mom and so does my mom. It was a happy day @ the whole.Loved it ! :)

Starting over

I'm trying to find something to base my life upon,
Something in this strange world that goes on and on.
As the years go by and time fades away,
What used to be "good days" are now filled with dismay.
Tomorrow comes, and then again, it goes,
And my ambition to become something more, grows and grows.
Around the corner, yet miles away,
The life I want now, gets closer each day.
All I've ever wanted was something to live for,
I don't want to be this little person anymore.
I've been basing my life upon what others think,
I wish I could go back and redo everything, every time an eye would blink.
I've fought to become who I am and what I want to be,
I have to remind myself that one day, I will be free.
Free from the rules I followed as a child,
When everything was a game and life was so mild.
Now times have changed and I realize nothing is fair,
And sometimes it seems like nobody even cares.
It's like no one pays attention to what I feel is best for me,
And what I think about the way some things should be.
I understand now, that I'm pretty much on my own,
And I know a lot of what I can do will never be known.
All the time, I think about everything I can't say, what I have to keep in,
And by doing this, my thoughts only get more complicated and deepen.
Soon I hope to find out who I am, and what I am meant to become,
I want to know where I'm going, I don't need to be reminded of where I came from.
