After college question-III

The bell rang. Saved by the proverbial bell. It was time to leave the college premises.
She stuffed her books in the bag and stood.
“You’ll change your mind.” He leaned over and kissed her.
Her eyes went wide. She opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. Instead, flustered, she turned to go, and then froze.
Prem stood in the doorway, stunned. He didn’t wait for an explanation; he rushed out of the room.
Pooja glanced back at Vineeth. “How dare you do that to me? Why did you do that?”
“Because I felt like it.”
Not only had he robbed her of her first kiss, but possibly her first love, all because he felt like it.
Anger pumped in her veins, and jabbed at his face. She hit so hard that he had a shake in the place he stood. “Don’t you ever touch me again!”
He touched his face, looked around to see if anyone was nearby and said, “Good thing that you are a girl or else I would have killed you right now!!”
“Ooh! Take to the hand, A**.” She took her bag and stormed out. What a jerk! She ran down the corridor in search of Prem. God; please don’t let him hate me that much.
Ramya ran up behind her. “Did that Vineeth  just kiss you?”
“Yeah, and right in front of Prem.” said Pooja. Ramya looked vivid.
Tears began to blur Pooja’s vision. What if Prem did not believe her? She stopped near his classroom and glanced inside it.
“He’s outside,” Ramya said, pointing to the front steps. “Don’t you worry; we’ll take care of Rajesh once and for all.”
“Thank you, bye!” Pooja ran towards the door almost knocking down another girl. “Prem!”
She could tell by the way his shoulders stiffened that he’d heard her, but he didn’t stop. In fact, he started walking faster.
“Prem, wait!” She reached his side, breathless. “Let me explain.”
“What’s there to explain? You love Vineeth. I get it.”
She grabbed his arm. “Stop, please!”
He faced her, his eyes filled with pain.” What?”
“Were you going to ask me something?”
“Doesn’t matter anymore.” He glazed past her.
He looked so angry. What would she say to make this right?
"You’re wrong about Vineeth. I don’t love him."
His eyes narrowed. “I saw you kiss him, Po. And I know it was your first kiss.”
Her face warmed. Of course he did. He knew everything about her." I know, but…”
Prem tilted his head to the side. “But?”
Could she say it? Be honest about her feelings? If she didn’t tell him, she’d probably lose him. “Vineeth kissed me, but I didn’t kiss him back. I only slapped him, because…”
Prem stepped closer. “Because?”
She swallowed. Her heart was beating so fast she thought it would pop out any minute. And she had butterflies in her stomach all at the same time. I can do this. “Because, I love you. I always have!!”
“And he kissed you?” he moved still more closer.
“Yeah,” she whispered.
“And you slapped him?”
She shook her head.
He leaned forward. The faint aroma of his perfume spread around her. She closed her eyes and inhaled. His soft lips brushed hers, sending goose bumps everywhere.
She opened her eyes.
Prem grinned a lazy smile.
She bit her lips and smiled. “So, what did you want to ask me?”
“I wondered if I could borrow your IPod for a few days”
Pooja playfully smacked his arm. “Only if you promise to take me on the farewell party?”
He held her hands and “Deal!”
The end.

"Hey sexy lady"

You guys must all be wondering what I'm going to say in this post. Its nothing to do about sex or may be. If you had watched Sun Tv for the past one month you have noticed that this song " Hey Sexy Lady" Promo of the movie Ninaithale Inikkum. Since Sun TV was promoting their own "MOVIE" in their own "CHANNELS", you would have seen it like a 100 times a day. Same thing happens in Sun music, K TV and also Chutti TV. So literally all of us were only seeing this a dozen time at an hours time on the TV. We, at home, all the tamil channels together so that we can keep changing it for convince sake.

Last week, my cousin POOJA visited me. She came home because her mom had come to help my sister pack for her trip abroad. So it was my duty to keep Pooja out of site so that they will be able to do their work peacefully. ( Pooja can be a pain-in-the-b*tt sometimes). Since I gel with her very well, I was given this responsibility. She was playing some Dora games in my laptop and suddenly she started singing the song " Hey Sexy lady". I was shocked and terrified. I mean, it dint affect me when I was watching this song all the while on TV or when I could see Prithiviraj dancing with some item girl. It was such a shock when I heard my 5yrs old cousin sing it. I told her immediately where did she hear it( such a obvious question, of course). She coolly replied on Sun TV and also said that she loved song. And she said, " Akka, en class la ellarukum Prithiviraj na romba pudikum." Meaning that her classmates like the actor Prithiviraj very much.

Excuse me!!! :( Have I got something wrong here. A bunch of 5 year olds talking about Prithiviraj. This certainly put me off the whole day. I cannot image even seeing such kind of stuff when I was that young. I remember asking my friend in my 7th standard about Crush. So much of exposure these kids have these days. Actually this was just the beginning. Since I had a mild attack, I switched off the TV (literally pulled out the plug)and laptop and took her out in the evening to have a nice and fresh walk. Since we had a park nearby and we would also have a lot of small kids visiting the park. I thought it would be a great place for her to play and have some fun.

The park was pretty crowded because it was a Saturday. My place is nearby the boat club road in Chennai wherein most of the people are likely to be more well off. And most of the kids were from these places. So I let her to have her own time, while I sat on the bench watching her from a distance. She was playing for the while, when suddenly she stopped and looked at a kid who was dress all glittery and fancy. That glittery girl, for that age, was looking like a real glam doll. She was pretty, cute and very shy. So Pooja went near her and was talking something. I really couldn't hear it so I went little close to eavesdrop on my 5 yr old cousin. She was asking where she had got the dress, those silver coloured sandals and also those lovely barbie girl earring, this girl was wearing. Knowing my cousin, I asked her to stop worrying about all the that and asked to continue playing. She would leave that shy girl who kept running around trying to avoid Pooja from following her. I thought enough was enough and threatened Pooja to take her back home, if she dint stop annoying the poor girl.

My Drama-queen cousin started to cry and I had to give up and let her play for some more time until it got dark. Then took her back home, by that time all the packing work was done. The thing why I was talking about this incident is because I think its not ethical to have those poor kids know about all these stuff only when they are just old enough to eat food by themselves. Of course, they will have their time to get to know all that they are so eager to know until them I hope they stay clean. Clear instruction are given to my aunt not to let her watch TV for more than 1 hour a day and that too only Chutti TV or Pogo or Cartoon network.

After college Question-II

Ramya squealed behind her, and then hugged Pooja tight.
“OMG! Is he finally going to get up the nerve to ask you out?”
Pooja untangled from her friend’s lean arm. “Are you kidding me? Knowing him, he’s going to see if he can borrow my IPod for some days.”
Ramya adjusted her glasses. “No, I think this is it. He is going to ask you to the farewell party. He’s been dropping hints for weeks.”
Though Pooja wanted that more than anything, she doubted it would happen in this century. “Come on. Let’s leave this alone for now. I’m going to the library. Want to join me?”
“Okay, let’s move.”  And they both headed towards the library.
Pooja found a seat in the back of the library and opened her new Sophie Kinsella’s book. The pages blurred. She couldn’t concentrate. Her hand revolved in the shape of a heart over and over in the margin as if it had a mind of its own. Would Prem really ask her out? Could this be it? She refused to get her hopes up. Twice she’d thought he’d ask and twice she’d been wrong.
“Hey!” Vineeth, alleged ladies’ man, sat next to her.
“Have I told you lately that you’re beautiful?”
“Go away”
He pushed his hair out of his eyes, wearing a flirtatious smile that probably got a good response when used on the other girls in College. “Want to go to the movies @ Satyams on Friday evening.”
“No.”
He rested his arms on the desk. “Why not?”
She opened the book and pretended to read.
I’ve been watching you, you know.”
She met his gaze. “I’m not trying to do anything to you. I’m trying to study.”
He seemed to consider that for a moment, but obviously dint let that bother him. “You don’t like me much, do you?”
“What was your first hint? Me turning you down or me being rude?”
A coy smile spread across his face.
She wanted to slap it. “What?”
“Nothing. I just think I found a date for Friday.”
“The corpse bride?”
“No, you.”
Pooja choked,” Huh! I’m not going anywhere with you.”

After college Question

3.25PM
Pooja looked at the clock on the wall which was still ticking 3.25pm. She would why time goes so slow because she was waiting to meet Prem after college. All the girls had time for many guys but she loved only one “PREM”, but we are best friends, buddies, pals, and chums. She was confused as to how to break their current status and get on with the next big step. If only I could get him to talk to me without those beautiful eyes beaming at her, she sighs.
They had studied in the same school but chose only different courses. He wanted to be math genius while she chose computers. While joining college, they both opted for the same co-ed college so that they could be together all the time. Apart from this she had no regrets to be with him except to confess that they were more than “JUST FRIENDS”. But she hoped she figured it out to tell him that before college gets over in two weeks.
3.30PM
The bell rang. Finally, she said. She stood, still in a daze and walked out of the classroom. Prem waited, gorgeous as ever. His body leaning over the wall besides her classroom. He was wearing the Red T-shirt which she had given him for his birthday this year. She still remembers the fun they had on that day with friends and how much time they spent together.  If only it could always last forever, she thought and moved closer.
He smiled as their eyes met. “Hey, Po.”
“Hey, don’t you call me that. How many times do I have to tell you? I’m not the same baby PO from school. Come ‘on you know I hate that name”
“You are always my same old PO” and he grins melting her heart away.
“So Can we go home together today?” He asked.
“Don’t we always go home together? Stop kidding around, let’s get moving.” Pooja claims.
“Listen, I’ve got some work which needs to be finished for my final project. So just give me an hour and we can go together.” Prem adjusting his files from his bag.
“But, Prem, amma asked me to come home soon.” Pooja eyes him out. “Shall I call it a day and you can come home later to meet me?”
“Oh, Come ‘on Pooooo… Please. I want to talk to you about something important on the way back home. Besides, I don’t want you to travel alone in the train.”
Pooja’s pulse raced. Just breathe and act normal. How caring.. she thought. “Okay, I’l wait for you but let me make one thing clear, I AM NOT A CHILD!!! Understand”
“ Cool!! Got it.” He winked and ran down the large corridor to the computer lab.
                                                                                                                                                                         To be continued....

Sextuplets??? What would my mom feel about that?

Today, we were watching this show called Jon & Kate Plus 8. It makes me wonder how the mother can manage twins and sextuplets all at the same time.

We( my sisters and me), made sure that my mom watched that show. It was hilarious how the mother had to keep up with them every single day. My mom, after watching the show, talked about how my dad use to rock the cradle till I sleep. Even with the slightest noise, I would wake up and cry. It was my dad's turn to make me sleep in the night because my mom had enough trouble with me the whole day. Actually, I also heard that he loved doing it. Since I was the first born, I was pampered too much those days. My 1st sister (Aishu) was always the best according to my mom because she never troubled my mom in eating or sleeping. Whenever it was time to eat, she would do it herself. No wonder she is all so plumply and cuddly. Gayu, the youngest of the lot was also a trouble maker just like me. But I was the worst. Am still the worst. Well it all happens :)

We also talked about my cousin sister Pooja who is the worst of all of us in the family. Her mom even cries sometimes due to the pressure. So the next time, we watch that show on TV, we are going to ask her to watch it too..
Its just amazing how Kate tries to be bias to all the kids.
They first had Twins:
Mady and Cara
And four years later, they had Sextuplets
Alexis, Leah, Aaden, Hannah,Collin and Joel.( 3 girls and 3 boys). They all look very cute.
WOW they must have whole lot of fun and hard work taking care of them.
I wonder what my mom would do with Sextuplets, if she had them.
She cannot manage with just the three of us.
