Thank you, Sisters

I consider myself very lucky
To have sisters;
Sisters, who loves me for what I am,
Not for what others see me as,
Or for what I ought to be.
They loves me truly the way I am.
We've fought and patched up.
We've shared secrets of happiness and sadness
We've laughed until we cried,
And then we dried each other's tears.
I look up to them (because they are taller than me)
We don't laugh at each other's mistakes,
But help each other to correct them.
They prevent me from losing my temper,
I prevent them from losing their sense of judgments.
I know none of us are perfect,
But together, we help each other to become so.
Thank you, sisters
For always being there for me.

Ishu and Gayu, I love you both very much.

And will never leave you both again.

Sextuplets??? What would my mom feel about that?

Today, we were watching this show called Jon & Kate Plus 8. It makes me wonder how the mother can manage twins and sextuplets all at the same time.

We( my sisters and me), made sure that my mom watched that show. It was hilarious how the mother had to keep up with them every single day. My mom, after watching the show, talked about how my dad use to rock the cradle till I sleep. Even with the slightest noise, I would wake up and cry. It was my dad's turn to make me sleep in the night because my mom had enough trouble with me the whole day. Actually, I also heard that he loved doing it. Since I was the first born, I was pampered too much those days. My 1st sister (Aishu) was always the best according to my mom because she never troubled my mom in eating or sleeping. Whenever it was time to eat, she would do it herself. No wonder she is all so plumply and cuddly. Gayu, the youngest of the lot was also a trouble maker just like me. But I was the worst. Am still the worst. Well it all happens :)

We also talked about my cousin sister Pooja who is the worst of all of us in the family. Her mom even cries sometimes due to the pressure. So the next time, we watch that show on TV, we are going to ask her to watch it too..
Its just amazing how Kate tries to be bias to all the kids.
They first had Twins:
Mady and Cara
And four years later, they had Sextuplets
Alexis, Leah, Aaden, Hannah,Collin and Joel.( 3 girls and 3 boys). They all look very cute.
WOW they must have whole lot of fun and hard work taking care of them.
I wonder what my mom would do with Sextuplets, if she had them.
She cannot manage with just the three of us.

Life in one picture!! ;)

Thick milk

Method
1. Fry vermicelli in little ghee till it becomes golden brown
2. Boil milk and add fried vermicelli
3. Allow the mixture to boil in reduced flame till vermicelli gets cooked
4. Add sugar and keep stirring
5. When the content becomes thick and vermicelli is cooked, switch off the gas.
6. Add cardomom powder, fried cashewnut and raisins

Alternative method
Kesari powder can be used
Poha can be added along with vermicelli in equal proportion
Milk can be boiled till it becomes concentrated

Have you ever been betrayed?

Have you ever had the feeling?
It knocks so hard and it stabs the heart so bad
It makes one feel like a fool
A friend you made me feel
Comfortable I became around you
Until yesterday…. For many years now
You betrayed me and you don’t realize
It hurts and it breaks my heart
You didn’t have to
You should have came straight to me
You should have asked me directly
Then maybe, just maybe
I was going to tell you
You don’t have to pretend you’re my friend
You don’t have to pretend you care
You are not doing anyone any favour by doing so
Instead you are teaching me to be careful
Be careful of who I associate with
Be careful of who I share my deepest secrets with
I will be frank with you though
I wont pretend around you
I wont pretend I don’t see what’s going on
I will tell you like it is
I don’t need you, I don’t need your friendship and
I certainly don’t want you come hanging around my place

I am just disappointed & hurt but you don’t realize a platform of growth is what you create for me.
Don’t even smile back at me because that is just poison you keep splitting from your mouth
You make me angry-you make me hate- but I can never hate myself
I hate only you & your betrayal
I hate the thought that you fooled me into believing we were friends
Fooling me to believing you’re my friend when you know what you’re up to
You took something away from me and to find out like this makes me even crazy because as a friend I trusted you and you broke my heart
I never realized the kind of person you are- but now I know –God opened my blind eyes.
I hate the thought that I opened up so much to you
I appreciated your presence in my life
I felt that if the two of us can bond, then people would realize that they also don’t need to fear anything
I made a mission to walk up straight and forget about people’s judgment because we were going to do it together
You and I made a promise to each other to carry on like nothing is wrong and
You broke that promise
How could you?
I know that crying and mourning about it does not help but
I really hate what you are
You broke my heart
Why you did it is what I keep asking myself
And now you come to say that it was mistake.
How could you? After all these years of laughter and fun together.
Why do these things happen to me?
I learnt one new lesson today too!!

NEVER TRUST ANYBODY

Sexual Harassement-what can we do about it?

Today I was walking on the main road which is always busy. Before me, there were two teenaged girls walking back home from the bus stop. While walking, a guy on the cycle was  going past us. He went a little further and stopped the cycle to see who was coming behind. These girls hadn't noticed because they were having their own chit chat while walking. This guy waited for us to walk near him so that he could catch hold of one of the girl's private parts. I was shocked and that spilt second he peddled away. I tried to stop him but he was too fast. I came back to the girl who was harassed and she was too embrassed because everybody were just watching what was happening and never bothered to help me. She cried out and I tried to console her and helped her up. I also said that I will accompany both of them to their house which was nearby my place. She cried all the way home. It was an awful sight. She couldn't take out her hands from her chest. I was scared whether this will take her to depression. I took her home and told her  mother what happened and asked them to take care of her. I just cannot understand how perverse some guys are. And nobody came to help. Such cheap characters some of them have. Everybody can become multimillionaires, own a car and whatever but these are such basic common duties being a human.

I somehow, feel the world is one-sided. Why this kind of nasty behaviour ? This is definitely going to affect the girl for somedays. How can a person just do that? Is this what the world is leading? Is this women empowerment? Can't a girl just live the way she wants to live? It just irritates me to say that it is getting on my nervous on what I am hearing about all the behavioural changes undergoing on the men these days. Please don't treat us like sex dolls. We have a life and we have feelings too. Please understand that the world does not belong only to you, Men.

Its just shocking. I cannot get this out of my mind.

Amma...

I met a friend who I had lost contact with for about two years. His name is Renga. Very good person and friend. He had lost his mother when he was in 10th std. Very unpleasant news for all of us. He loved his mother very much and was close to her because he was her only son. When this happened, he lost hope on life. It took him some time to get back on life again. He loves to sing because his mom loves to hear him sing. His mother was a classical singer so he was put to singing classes when he was young. After she passed away, he would cry to us singing this song. This was a very touching song for him as well as for us(his friends). Its very sad when you lose some person who you love the most. Even though, I didn't know his mom in person, I respected her a lot and we will defintely miss you ma. This song and post dedicated to Renga and his mom.

Learnt a new lesson today!!!

I always thought that my best friend was the nicest guy on the planet but just discovered that he might be nice to his friends but not his own girlfriend. Another day where EGO strikes and wins the match. Not a very good lesson though. Life's like that. Full of surprises!!!!

Motorola Aura

Hey I have obsession towards mobile phones. I never keep anything for more than 8 months. I have changed around 10 mobile phones in the past three years. and my latest one is Motorola z6. Been having it for quite sometime and planning to change it soon. So when I was browsing thru these mobile phones in a website, I came across this mobile phone which was priced at Rs 106,731 /-.

What 1 lacs? Are you sure? Positive. I had the same doubt guys. I went through it and found out that it was true. Why is this phone so expensive? I don't think there are much features as other phones. You should see the phone to believe. It is totally awesome. Looks absolutely stunning. It made me go crazy for a moment. And why don't you check out yourself.

MOTOROLA AURA

Here is a video about the Mobile phone: MOTOROLA AURA

This is what is called as thinking out of the box…..

Question 1:
What will you do if I run away with your sister?"

The candidate who was selected answered " I will not get a better match for my sister than you sir"

Question 2:
Interviewer (to a student girl candidate) - What is one morning you woke up & found that you were pregnant.

Girl - I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate with my husband.

Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed it well. Why I should think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked

Question 3:
Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate. Coffee arrived kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you?

Candidate: Instantly replied "Tea"

He got selected.

You know how and why did he say "TEA" when he knows very well that coffee was kept before.

(Answer: The question was "What is before you (U - alphabet)
Reply was "TEA" ( T - alphabet)

Alphabet "T" was before Alphabet "U"

Question 4:

The interviewer asked to the candidate "This is your last question of the interview. Please tell me the exact position of the
center of this table where u have kept your files."

Candidate confidently put one of his fingers at some point at the table and told that this was the central point at the table. Interviewer asked how did u get to know that this being the central point of this table, then he answers quickly that sir u r not likely to ask any more question, as it was the last question that u promised to ask.

And hence, he was selected as because of his quick-wittedness.

This is what Interviewer expects from the candidate.

Idhu Oru Pon Maalai Pozhuthu

The song which takes me to another world.

Just hearing such kind of songs give us happiness.

One song which puts me back on track whenever I'm down.

Whenever I get the time to hear music, this is first on my list always.

The lyrics which I have highlighted in the song below are the best lyrics ever written.

The Logo LG

Here is yet another fascinating Logo. Been wanting to write about a for a long time. Here this is how it goes:

LG

LG is a large South Korean conglomerate, which produces electronics, mobile phones, and petrochemical products and operates subsidiaries like LG Electronics. The LG brand originated from Gold Star, a popular brand name in Korea.

The company now tries to promote its new tagline "Life's Good".
The LG logo shown alongside is a fairly interesting logo. As you can see the logo has the alphabets, L & G in the form of a face. The symbol consists of two elements: the LG logo in LG Grey and the stylized image of a human face in the unique LG Red color.

· The letters "L" and "G" in a circle symbolize the world, future, youth, humanity and technology. The symbol also represents LG's efforts to maintain close relationships with our customers worldwide.

Cool Divorce Letter

Dear Wife,
I'm writing you this letter to tell you that
I'm leaving you for good.
I've been a good man to you for seven years
and I have nothing to show for it.
These last two weeks have been hell.
Your boss called to tell me that
you had quit your job today and
that was the last straw.

Last week, you came home and didn't
even notice that I had gotten a new hair cut,
cooked your favorite meal,
and even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers
later that night.
You came home, nibbled at your food
for two minutes, and went straight to sleep
after watching all of your soaps.
You don't tell me you love me anymore,
you don't want sex anymore or anything.
Either you're cheating on me
or you don't love me.
Whichever is the case....I'm gone.

Signed,

Your EX-Husband
P.S. Don't try to find me.
Your sister and I are moving away
to West Virginia together. Have a great life!

divider_f.gif picture by zubia_2009

 Dear Ex-Husband,

Nothing has made my day more enjoyable
than receiving your letter.
It's true that you and I have been married
for seven years, although a 'good man'
is a far cry from what you've been.
I watch my soaps so much because
they drown out your constant
whining and griping.
It's just too bad it doesn't work.

Yes, I did notice when you got a hair cut
last week.....and actually the first thing
that came to my mind was
"You look just like a girl"
but my mother raised me not to say anything
at all if you can't say anything nice.
And when you cooked my favorite meal,
you must have gotten me confused with my
SISTER, because I stopped eating pork
seven years ago.

I turned away from you when you had
those new silk boxers on because
the price tag was still on them.
I prayed that it was just a coincidence
that my sister had just borrowed fifty dollars
from me that morning and your silk
boxers were $49.99...

After all of this, I still loved you and felt that
we could work it out.
So when I discovered that I had hit the
lotto for twenty million dollars,
I quit my job and bought us two tickets to Hawaii.
But when I got home you were gone.
Everything happens for a reason I guess.
I hope you have the fulfilling life
you've always wanted.

My lawyer said with the letter that you wrote,
you won't get a dime from me.
So take care.
Signed: Rich As Hell and Freeeeeeeeeeee!

P.S. I don't know if I ever told you this
but
my sister 'Carla'...was born Carl.
I hope that's not a problem for you.

Summer internship

Sometimes lyf isn't all about staying at home even for me.

Why the hell am i talking about staying at home??? The world is waiting outside to grab me!!!LOL
The thing is, I have been given an assignment. Summer intern assignment. My topic for the day...MARKET RESEARCH. Do you think it cool?? Of course its cool and lot of hard work.
Welcome to my world. The Real MBA experience. First hand. Straight from the heart or brain whichever you want.

Given work:
Observe what is happening in the so -called family salon and give a report by Friday.

What am I doing now about the project?
Nothing. Why??? I'm never into salons. I've been to parlors once in 6 months and never do all that stuff  that are likely done by every-other-girl-my-age. I've never done threading, pedicure, manicure, facial, blah blah blah... I dint even know there were so many things. What will I do there?? What will I do there sitting all day watching what the staffs are doing? My reporting manager said, " Talk to customers.Talk to the manager. Get as much as information as possible." He was very sweet. Gave me this personal email address and said that I could mail him about anything. How can I tell him that I dono anything about parlors except hair cut.

I assume, he would say,Well Raji, now is your big chance. Learn it!!! It will definitely be a different experience for me. I'm off now to visit this salon and sit for a few hours of Salvation(observation).
Knowledge is fun. Lets get into some pampering stuff. After all ,  I also get to have some free make-overs. Now that the best part about this assignment. Gotta go... Will catch up with today's experience later.

Unexpected Vacation in the last moment...

Hey hi guys!

Sorry, had an unexpected vacation planned in the last moment. My Chiti( Aunt) had come from salem to attend a marriage here in chennai. She visited my place and found me Idle because I'm in Hols, sort of actually, I have to do my internship in some company. I have already sent the resume but my dad was responsible to get me one. So here I was with sometime for myself to do anything I liked. My chiti was so alone after she left chennai. Its been quite sometime I've spent some quality time with her and my cousins(Rags and Gokul). But i still dint want to go because the two of them had still not yet done with exams, but she insisted.

Packed as per schedule, I was on the train by Sunday 4pm. The train journeys are always fun for me. All the talking and laughing with your family. So we reached by 10pm.  Overwhelmed by my arrival, my cousins were excited. Rags is in the 9th std but writes 10th portions for exams now. Gokul is in the 4th std. He is the youngest boy in the family. So tired by the journey, went to sleep.

Day 1(MONDAY)

Get up before 7 because there is no electricity after that till 1pm.
Check the garden and help in Gardening(Loved it, though).
Help Gokul with exams and ask him questions(Poor bro).

Too many trains visible every single day since we lived in the railway quarters.
Wear only Salwar with dupatta.(DUH)
Climate amazing.
No pep talk with friends on the phone.( oh come ' on you guys!!! what am i suppose do then?)
Day 2(TUESDAY)

* Why The Elephants Don't Run *

Something I came across as a email-- Love it!!

A number of years ago, I had the rather unique experience of being backstage in Madison Square Garden, in New York, during the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus. To say the least, it was a fascinating experience. I was able to walk around looking at the lions, tigers, giraffes and all the other circus animals. As I was passing the elephants, I suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at any time, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not. I saw a trainer near by and asked why these beautiful, magnificent animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. "Well," he said, "when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it's enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They think the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free."
I was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they could not, they were stuck right where they were.

Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before? How many of us are being held back by old, outdated beliefs that no longer serve us? Have you avoided trying something new because of a limiting belief? Worse, how many of us are being held back by someone else's limiting beliefs? Do you tell yourself you can't sell because you're not a salesperson?

Particularly in starting or running a business, we are cautioned not to take risks, usually by well intentioned friends and family. How many of us have heard, "You can't do that?" These are the dream stealers who, due to their own limiting beliefs, will attempt to discourage you from living your dreams. You must ignore them at all cost! I am not suggesting that you should not seek advice from qualified individuals and mentors, but that you avoid like the plague, being swayed by the limiting beliefs of others, especially people who are not in their own business.

Challenge your own limiting beliefs by questioning them. If you begin to question a belief, you automatically weaken it. The more you question your limiting beliefs, the more they are weakened. It's like kicking the legs out from under a stool. Once you weaken one leg, the stool begins to lose its balance and fall. Think back to a time when you "sold" someone on yourself. We are selling all the time. You have to sell your ideas to your spouse, your children, and your employees - even your banker. Maybe, as a child, you sold Girl Scout cookies or magazine subscriptions to raise money for your school team. That was selling too!

Once you realize you are, in fact, a capable salesperson, you have weakened that old belief and began to replace it with a new, empowering one. Look for references to support the new beliefs you want to cultivate. As in the example of the stool, you want to reinforce your beliefs by adding more and more "legs" to them. Find people who have accomplished what you want to accomplish, discover what they did and model their behavior. Remember back to times in your past when you were successful and use that experience to propel yourself forward. If your challenge is in sales, read sales books and listen to tapes or attend sales seminars. This is a critical area of your business. One that cannot be undermined by limiting beliefs.

There is a technique called "fake it until you make it" that works well. I am not suggesting you live in denial, just that you begin to see yourself succeeding. Visualize your successes. See yourself vividly in your minds eye making the sale and reaching your goals. Affirm, over and over, that you are succeeding.

Write your affirmations daily. Of course, make sure you take the appropriate action. As it says in the Bible, "Faith without works is dead."

Remember that your subconscious mind does not know the difference between real and imaginary. Before you go on a sales call, take a moment and mentally rehearse the scene, just like actors and athletes do. Tell yourself, "I'm a great salesperson. " Do this over and over, especially just before a sales call. See the sale being made. See and feel the success. You will be pleasantly amazed at the result. Don't take my word for it. Give it a try. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

It has been said throughout history that what ever you believe, with conviction, you can achieve. Don't be like the poor elephant and go through your life stuck because of a limiting belief you were given or developed years ago. Take charge of your life and live it to the fullest. You deserve the best!
