The New Find

Do you want to get rid of boredom?
Loosen its control to regain your freedom!
Lull in your dull life, let it not behold.
You can be out of its clutches and hold!
Being always pensive welcomes melancholy.
This is the culprit of our life’s anomaly.
In busy life, its dwelling is dormant.
Inactivity makes boredom go rampant.
Do something of interest to you.
Or, inculcate liking in whatever you do!
Keep your search on till you find one.
It is extremely rare that you find none?!
Be it whatever, let not lethargy engulf.
Just eat and belch make life miserably tough.
Enthusiasm and eagerness must be kept alive.
These keep the charm of living from going to archive!
Come on and gear up to start afresh and new!
The startling new ‘find’ may belong to only "you"!!!

Talking about divorce…

The hottest topic of the day being love and love marriages. I was quite curious to find out how many people in my class are really into love and love marriages since we were discussing about it. As usual the guys were all joking about it by saying that they would get married to a girl and then divorce her within in the next three months and then get going with another girl. Then this thing struck me, let me check about the divorce rates in India. Here is something I felt about it.

Marriages in different parts of the world are done differently. In olden days, tribal men kidnap girls from other tribes to marry them. In the western world, as we know it, they have the right to “choose” the person they prefer on the basis of love. In India, a common practices was arranged marriage. It is said that the divorce rate have a direct impact on the level of choosing their own spouse.i.e. Love marriages. And according the research, it is happened only in the recent times.

If you see the picture below, you will find that India, compared to all the other countries has the lowest divorce rate but is increasing certainly at a very high speed during the past decade.divorcerate1_1_1 Divorcerate2_2_1

Even though India still enjoys a low divorce rate, the rapid increase in the number of divorce petitions being filed in Indian courts is certainly a matter of concern. The Indian divorce rate is although the lowest in compared to the rest of the countries of the world, but the present marital scenario in India is likely under a threat. The very will to keep on with the sacred union even under numerous marital disputes and disparities has mellowed with time and transformation of ideologies.

And if you trace out the reasons for these divorces, you will find that the blame has been placed on the women empowerment, the literacy rate and the financial independency.

  • Lets look at the reasons for the increasing rate of divorces in India:
  • 1. Earlier when the women divorced she was faced with social criticisms. They believed that the parents would not accept them and think of them as a burden. But times are changing now. The parents feel and understood the fact that it is not the end of the daughter’s life if she was divorced.
  • 2. Due to factors such as Globalization and IT boom, the social life has become faster. The couples aren’t spending enough times with each other and also in this fast paced world nobody is bothered about social ill- effects or rather not effect the glare of the society.
  • 3. With the advent of women education, they are not anymore depend on the men for their financial needs. Therefore, she doesn’t have to anymore stand the abuse and harass made by the men. She can get out of it and get on with her life on her own or as well as the kids, if any.
  • But are these the only reason why we are moving into the different
  • pace, and don’t you think that the above mentioned reasons are fair
  • enough and logical for the betterment of the better half, WOMEN.
  • PS: I am not being bias here. I still believe that there are some real men who take care of their wives as if they were Queen and Hats off to you all.. This post is dedicated to my dad because he belongs to that category.

Realising the value of friendship

During these days, I get into a lot of trouble in college. Yes. The thing is I do things impulsively which results in something else which was not meant to happen. I'm getting back to be very naughty. I usually tease and get teased... A Lot. Basically, I do it for the fun of it but I make sure that nothing serious happens or I don't go beyond my limits. I know the feeling of other people and try my level best not to hurt them. Not all of us are alike. We are a unique piece of art created by god for some purpose in life. So many difference, yet, we are all here for doing something. Having a meaning for every minute of our life.

Same goes to friends and our other relationship with people. Life isn't always having the good people. Life is all about being what we are and how we manage ourselves. Like I always say, " WE LEARN FROM MISTAKES." I'm not saying that I'm a good person neither a bad person. Qualities I think good, may not be the same for others. These are not the common qualities. I'm talking about qualities like friendship, understanding, etc. What am I trying to convey through all these things?? ( i really dono at the moment.. but lets hope I get what I'm trying to say)

Today, like I was saying, I was teasing an OLD friend of mine which was not a good thing. She got angry and pissed off. I try to handle things on my own without other people involving themselves into the case unlike she did the opposite. She involved her so-called BF into the issue and this became a big issue as the guy came and talked to me about it. He is also a very good friends of mine and I said I did it for the sake of fun . It hurt her that badly, I'm ready to apologize and accept my mistake, but she cried out loud and made a big scene. I got very angry(I hate myself angry) and teased her more which was not suppose to happen but I did it. So I left college abruptly without any solution. So I was not quite happy with what I did and called up the BF to apologize about and I realize that something he told me over the conversation was very important for life as friendship. He said that even if a friend was committing a crime against you, you would have to forgive him/her and get back to what you were before the "so- called- fight." Of course, I dint accept it in the first place. I argued with him about it for quite sometimes and things he told really made sense. There are only a few minor differences between Love and Friendship and fights like these just should not ruin the friendship because like he said, we never expect anything from a friendship just unlimited love and joy. Thats why we have friends, isn't it?? Give me your comments and suggestions on this one.
