FAQ - India

I loved this forwarded mail.. I had a good laugh when I was so tensed up with my work here. So I wanted to share the joy and laughter with you... Go on and read the whole thing.

India holds a certain sense of mystery for the world outside its borders. Read on to find how curious foreigners are about India and its ways or rather read on to find out how dumb and ignorant they are about our beautiful country. This was taken from a tourism blog where people could post queries if they were planning on making a trip to India.

The answers are the actual responses by the website officials, who demonstrate tolerance and excellent sense of humor.

Letting me go

Dad and Mama, I love you, I really do,
I can’t think of my world without you!

No more kiss good-night,
No more dad to hold me tight.
No more hugs to calm my fears,
No more hands to wipe my tears!
No more tucking in at night.

But I know I will see you once again
And then you will hold me tight,
When we are together again.

l want to be selfish and share
But what I want just isn’t fair.
Dad, I am living of dull life
Without you here by my side,

Mama, as long as I live
Not a moment will go by
When I don’t wish you were with me.

Daddy I love you, I really do,
Mama I love you, I really do,
Daddy I know you have to leave me
But I told you I don't want to go,
Why did you let me be alone,
Let me go.

I show no fear in my eyes and face
But I am scared without you besides me,

I don't want to cry when I'm talking to you,
But I cry when I'm alone.
Dad and Mama,

Just remember I will always love you.

LOVE .. DEATH

I am entering into the blogging world after 4 weeks of hectic and fun trip to Paris. This is a second guest post of my blog. It was written by siva who is a doctor and has a vivid sense of humor. Siva, has become a close companion in a very short period of time due to the fact that I enjoy his blah blah.. i.e Writing. He had FINALLY completed his MBBS and now doing his intern. I love what he writes and this story is something I hope you will all like. Siva writes @ My Experience with me

He n Anamika got married recently n as usual they loved each other

for a brief period before marriage..

He s a civil Eng in a leading construction company n she a

program writer with rich father
.She was unique - this unique doesnt

mean what all gals use in social networking sites profile in "about me" ..

she was really unique , bcos she

had BPD [ Bipolar disorder] (a form of psychiatric illness ppl with this ,

go to their extremes of mood either happy or sad ,btw they r normal ,

u cant easily diagnose them as most persons reading this blog r like that!! ) ..

And she was diagnosed early when she got her first depression n maniac

episodes after mother's death n

doctors assured her its very mild n she can lead a normal life with her drugs.

They were true she was quite normal after that n only once she got the

maniac form of elated mood thats when he proposed her ..

Like any other lover during love with a rich man's daughter

he dint mind about her illness n told her u r normal, only these docs r

confusing u to get few bucks from u .. she felt happy for him .
CHAPTER - I
He was starting his car from construction site to pick her from

office , he hated his job with dust n noise .. but she loved her office with all

forms of luxury n pleasant room spray ..

IN CAR

He : Hi ! good evening ..

She: gud evening.. u smell like a sheep :)

He : oh.. n u smell like n whore ..;)

she : ya.. i;m a whore to one man ..

IN HALL

He tries to give a instant hug but she resists with a smile n enters kitchen

.. it happens everytime n he curses himself " y these gals change after a yr

of marriage n becomes more professional even in bed "

DURING DINNER

Their conversation was mostly around their respective firms development n

movement of shares in stock exchange .. neither of them was looking into eyes,

during love when they had dinner the room fills with laughter n they had smiles

before each spoon of food n both used to compliment each other.. everything

has changed after marriage..

IN BEDROOM

After taking her tablet she checks the prescription for review date with the

doctor n files it back.. He always get irritated with her mr.perfect behavior of

filing things n even scold without knowing its going to save his life.. Like other

routine things making love also happens ,just happens within a time to make

two maggi noodles ..

though neither of them get satisfied they were too egoistical to mention it or

ask more.. Next day

Sun comes out n their routine continues as schedule ..

CHAPTER - II

one day she has to return home earlier... when she comes home n opens

bedroom door , she sees everything normal in the room .. her husband , two

pillows, teddy bear , a water Jug Except an extra 5' 7" feet

creature curling along with her husband in bed .

CHAPTER - III

She made a call to her father ... then she died .

Autopsy Report : suicide , cause of death - opening up veins in bath tub.

CHAPTER - IV

Her father "U killed her, bloody basterd, i dint like u from the start "

He "U r getting too hysterical ,what happened s an unfortunate event n

am feeling sad for u n ur daughter , but dont blame me, i think its bcos of

her condition ..."

Her father "Shut up !! all these days u dint mind about that (BPD) n argued

that she s normal , now to save ur skin u r playing ur cards"

He "Dont use strong words sir .. i find no fault in me, ok let me be open

with u .. i agree i loved her, but i was never satisfied with

her n found soon after marriage that

she can never satisfy me , but i never want to leave her for that reason n so

i found my own way of satisfying myself ..its very normal..think sir.. when u dont

like or bored with homemade food dont u go to hotel or get a parcel of hotel

food to home ..which s precisely what i did :) "

Her Father "I ve never seen such a smooth talking basterd like u in my life ,

i'm
going to court of law "

He "ofcourse sir.."

CHAPTER - V

The court was centered around an as usual unenthusiastic n grumpy judge

with no ears for emotions ..

Her Father - This man pushed her to end her life..this must

not be taken as suicide , its a homicide ..

JUDGE - [ after verifying the neatly aligned her prescription files from first visit

of doctor ] was she a known psychiatric patient ?

Her Father - Its irrelevant to case sir ..this man's adultery caused my

daughter's Life ..

JUDGE - was she under treatment for BPD ?

Her Father - Lord ..but this man pushed her to ..

JUDGE [irritatingly]
- was she a patient with bipolardisorder ,under

treatment n do u agree these prescription in files belongs

to her n do u know her psychiatric illness before ..? say yes or no!!

Her Father - YES !!

JUDGE - Case dismissed .

* THE END *

P.s:

Q1- Do u agree with the judgment?

Q2- Do u think He is innocent ?

Q3- Do u believe her cause of death s due to her BPD alone ?

2009- the year which passed with everything

I was too lazy to start writing what happened in my 2009 but I had a few of my friends who wanted me to write about it. Thank you guys for making me write “SOMETHING” again. Nowadays, I’m too lazy. Life is too boring. All I do is sit around playing Farmville, Cafe world, Happy aquarium and Pet ville. It took up all my precious blogging time. After some nice advice from a few friends( including bloggers) I’ve given up Farmville.. Will do the others to while I get going with other much more important stuff. Enough of my ranting about the present.. lets talk about 2009, the year which had everything.

The beginning was as cool as it will get with all my friends getting close and personal. We had the most funniest and most depressing moments this year. I understood the true meaning of betrayal by a best friend. I cried my wits out but it has to go on and I had others things to worry about. 2009, was tough. Too many friendships were lost and a very few I gained. My sister had also had a tough time getting VISA for her higher education in UK. Learnt a lot people tried to stop that happening. So many huddles and cries, finally, she landed there with no trouble. At least, that's what we thought but she also had some trouble. Thank God, my brother also lives in Leeds to take care of her. People are sometimes so rude and selfish. They do anything to have their life more pleasurable.

A lot of happy things also happened like the time I wrote my first OPEN BOOK exams which was awesome but tiring since we had to write from our laptop and stuff. The final part of the year was okay, I just got lucky to have such wonderful family who stand by my side at any cost. The part where I thought were I would lose my best friends was finally gotten over . Alas, true friendship triumphs… Last but not the least, I got a whole lot of friends and well wishers through blogging.. I’m grateful to all of them for their support and care. Blogging has become a very integral part of my life and I love doing it. Learning new things everyday. Accepting failure as well as success. I feel that every year has its own way of teaching us the most important things in life. Not to forget that we age every year. It is a pleasant living the life as it comes.. That me.. Take life as it comes…. Still going strong in 2010

Talking about divorce…

The hottest topic of the day being love and love marriages. I was quite curious to find out how many people in my class are really into love and love marriages since we were discussing about it. As usual the guys were all joking about it by saying that they would get married to a girl and then divorce her within in the next three months and then get going with another girl. Then this thing struck me, let me check about the divorce rates in India. Here is something I felt about it.

Marriages in different parts of the world are done differently. In olden days, tribal men kidnap girls from other tribes to marry them. In the western world, as we know it, they have the right to “choose” the person they prefer on the basis of love. In India, a common practices was arranged marriage. It is said that the divorce rate have a direct impact on the level of choosing their own spouse.i.e. Love marriages. And according the research, it is happened only in the recent times.

If you see the picture below, you will find that India, compared to all the other countries has the lowest divorce rate but is increasing certainly at a very high speed during the past decade.divorcerate1_1_1 Divorcerate2_2_1

Even though India still enjoys a low divorce rate, the rapid increase in the number of divorce petitions being filed in Indian courts is certainly a matter of concern. The Indian divorce rate is although the lowest in compared to the rest of the countries of the world, but the present marital scenario in India is likely under a threat. The very will to keep on with the sacred union even under numerous marital disputes and disparities has mellowed with time and transformation of ideologies.

And if you trace out the reasons for these divorces, you will find that the blame has been placed on the women empowerment, the literacy rate and the financial independency.

  • Lets look at the reasons for the increasing rate of divorces in India:
  • 1. Earlier when the women divorced she was faced with social criticisms. They believed that the parents would not accept them and think of them as a burden. But times are changing now. The parents feel and understood the fact that it is not the end of the daughter’s life if she was divorced.
  • 2. Due to factors such as Globalization and IT boom, the social life has become faster. The couples aren’t spending enough times with each other and also in this fast paced world nobody is bothered about social ill- effects or rather not effect the glare of the society.
  • 3. With the advent of women education, they are not anymore depend on the men for their financial needs. Therefore, she doesn’t have to anymore stand the abuse and harass made by the men. She can get out of it and get on with her life on her own or as well as the kids, if any.
  • But are these the only reason why we are moving into the different
  • pace, and don’t you think that the above mentioned reasons are fair
  • enough and logical for the betterment of the better half, WOMEN.
  • PS: I am not being bias here. I still believe that there are some real men who take care of their wives as if they were Queen and Hats off to you all.. This post is dedicated to my dad because he belongs to that category.

The tribute continues 2….

Roll No:16 Pradap Kumar: He is like this big boy of class. He remodels bikes and cars and loves it. He changed his pulsar into something totally crazy and funky which looks gr8 to me atleast. He is one of those hostel guys and comes to college once or twice a week. Most of the time, these guys are boozed or sleeping! Every night is PARTY night there. I kinda feel jealous about it. Pradap is from kovai and is very proud about it. He looks silent and quite but in reality, he is a terror. He once lost his phone and was very upset about it because he had that phone for more than 3 years. Some sort of girl friend sentiment, I guess. Lol. Rowdy Pradap

Roll No:17 Shiva: Ah… Shiva. He is like this one crazy guy whose leg is pulled by all the guys and girls in class. He comes up with some of the mokkaiest of statements in the history of mokkais. The best part is that he never is afraid about anybody. He lives in hostel too. The only guy, who doesn’t drink or smoke among them. He is honest, sincere and very passionate about this course. He is a sweet heart. I talk a lot to him and we help a lot during exams and studies and stuff. One guy who liked my blog and wanted to start one for himself after seeing mine.(:P). Shiva, you are the one of the craziest friend I ever had and will always be there.. Thanks again for your friendship.

Roll No:18 Marudhu Pandian: Future Finance Minister!!! Well, may be, you never know. Actually, his father is a hard core politician so since Marudhu has done Finance, he would want to be the next FM. And also he is planning to start up a new institute for MBA called MIPM(Marudhu’s Institute of Planning and Management). He is a macho man!! Looks like a army guy and but not so rough n tough. He was in love with a girl but they broke up, but he still loves her. He called himself “ BIG BABY” Hope you understand what it mean.. Still a baby in a grown body.

Roll No: 19 Ajith Bohra: He is a male chauvinist. He acts as if girls are meant to be under his feet. I really don’t care about what he thinks and perceives about girls and if he is such a thing, I don’t give a damn about it either. You hardly see him in class. Doesn’t really respect girls and also thinks that we are meant for only carrying babies and cook for men. Such kinda guys are just not worth talking about.

Roll No: 20 Neelam : She is a short girl. Very cute and loves to wear long tops. She is engaged already. Can’t wait to get married next year. Whenever she does presentation, its hard to see her stand because the podium is bigger than her, so she gets teased a lot by the guys for that but still doesn’t care about it. She does all her on time and is good at studies. She is a doll and pretty cool to have her as a friend.. You can count on her and she is always ready to help you whenever needed.

Smiling @ strangers…

andrew-super-smile

I was past the bridge on kotturpuram. Suddenly, I notice a woman walking past me with her baby. It must have been girl because of the charm and the looks of it. I was so touched when that baby girl who was half asleep woke up, just to give me a smile and then got back to her sleep.  I was thrilled. It gave me a great and refreshing look which I carried the whole day and passed on to all the people I met and made a difference in their day too..

Once small twinkle smile from a god-like-baby made my day as well as a few others whom I influence. No fights, no frowns, no anger, no sorrow… Just plain and simple happiness which kept me on the whole day. I dint even fall asleep during my 3 hrs class. Amazing, isn’t it? And all it took was just a smile. I loved it. So I plan to make the best of everyday. I smile and make others smile. This morning, I was in my car with my windows fully down and while passing through that same bridge, I was closely followed by a father who was taking his daughter to school. The girl had bandaged her hand. She must have met with an accident and was looking very miserable in that state. All I did was look @ her and smile. You should have seen how her face lit up. She was also smiling back at me and trying to wave to me forgetting that her hand was bandaged. Then I waved back at her and we went our ways. I really don’t know whether I’ll see her the next day too but one smiling girl made the difference. The power of smile. I love it and very thankful to all those people who smile and make other people’s day. After all, we ultimately want to  be happy by the end of the day.

PS: There is another reason why I smile at strangers. This is just between us. You also get to smile at all the cute, smart and handsome guys on the bike early in the morning… Haaaaaaa… So refreshing… Now that also makes your day….Don’t you think girls??? LOL

Ending life

Its hard to get away from life, easier to end life rather than face the agony, pain, sorrow or shame. Yes, all of us have to go through pain or sorrow @ some point of our life even the TATAs and BIRLAs have to face it. These are just a mile stone for us to grow using this. All failures are stepping stones to success. Someone, somewhere, knew that life isn’t about dying!!

I got a call from an old friend today!! She was crying when I picked up the call. I asked her what was the problem? She said that the guy she loved for more than 3 years has rejected her and married a rich girl. She was ashamed to face her parents since she was stubborn about marrying him all these years. She has been crying for the past one month, not going to office regularly or eating properly. All she could think about was DYING. She told me that she wanted to talk to me about this before she died. Little did she realize that I could get her out of it by the time the call was over. I thanked god for once for giving me the power of convincing her. It took me about 3 hours of talking. It was unbelievable how Love can change us. She was scared about the relationship which she had with him. They were intimate and sexually involved. I had to tell her that this was the end of everything. She was scared about her future and what would the husband think about her.. Obviously, all these thoughts clouded her like hell. Pavam. I pity her.. She was such a sensible person. So responsible about what she wanted to do in life yet when it came to love, she chose the wrong guy. I had to convince her that life has to go on. I made her promise that she wouldn’t try anything stupid again. I hope it doesn’t occur in her minds again.
In India, more than 1,00,000 people die due to suicide in a year which is a very sad thing.  Love, family pressure, loneliness, health issues, failures, loss, exams et all are some of the reason for people to suicide. Sneha, this is an NGO which is a suicide prevention helpline. It helps people to get out of these feeling of ending life. If these depressed people talk about their situation, they have 70% chance of getting out of the emotion. I volunteered once and I got a girl from a girl who was in her first year of college and she was devastated because some A** Hole harassed her sexually while travelling to a nearby place. Since that area was quite and no one around, he took advantage of her. Thank god, she dint get raped but she was very upset about it and this was killing her. No one to talk to. She could tell it to anyone. I cried while talking to her, so I gave the call to one of the seniors who handled her call and convinced her not to do anything stupid. When I still think about it, I start to get tears from my eyes. Its so bad, don’t you think. You can also volunteer to help bring life to another human. I did and I got the sense of satisfaction that none other activity in my life would give.
You can contact them through the website Sneha, or call up the number 044-2460050. Help bring back life. They are open 24hrs a day.

Silence

Silence is loudest when not spoken
It speaks not only to ones face
But to those around you
At any time and place
Silence comes in one of many
No one being can break the cycle
No speech, no being no matter if any
No time can heal the scar left

Silence is the loudest goodbye
The parting space
Once filled with tears and sorrow
Now left with nothing but a face
Silence bears all of ones inner
No amount of words can be spoken
The expression of ones truth
Can never be broken

Silence is Truth
Silence is Fear
Silence is Faith
Silence is as Silence was

Way too much work!!

Studying MBA can be very hectic... We have class from morning 9.30am to 8pm with an half hour break. Classwork, homework, assignments, presentation, projects, paper work, case studies, JAM s, Quizzes after all this comes time for us to relax and do nothing but SLEEP. We hardly have time for yourselves leave alone for friends and family. My mom keeps scolding left and right.. "College ku thana pora, oru vela seiya matura." and I say, " Basic ah naan konjam sombari." Anyways, my favorite blogging kuda panna mudiyala.. I just can't take it anymore. Iyyo enala mudiyala.. Save me GOD. All I can say is this is called AOG--ACT OF GOD.

Father of the bride

I've watched the movie, Father of the bride atleast a thousand times and still want to watch it again. I see so much of emotions and feelings in the movie. I am not very sensitive but after all I'm human and I am emotional at some point of my life. Well, this is one of the moment when I cried. I just cannot accept the fact that the girl has to leave home just because she is married to someone. I can never even think about leaving my dad. I let go off my offer to study abroad when I had the opportunity just because I wont be able to see my dad for another two years and probably don't want to get out of Chennai for not more than 10 days. I cannot survive without seeing or talking to him atleast once a day. Whenever class is boring guess what do I do? I call up my dad to say, " class is boring pa. I should have never taken up MBA." All he does is smile. Well, that my boost. Appa has been my confidence all the time. He never gives up on me because he knows that I'm capable of everything. I would give up the world just to be with him. He doesn't talk much unlike me(I'm like my mom) but whenever he talks, it always makes sense.

Coming back to the subject about not leaving my dad even after my marriage. I would never want that to happen. Or if i had to, then I wouldn't live in any far away land except chennai. I would settle down here with my family. I know this is selfish but I just don't care. I mean its unfair. Movies like abhiyum naanum and father of the bride affect me and my feelings too. So would it to do all the girls who are very close to their fathers. Fathers rule and I would like to dedicate this to my dad and all the other dads who love their kids

Poem from an old valentine..

I was going through all my old stuffs today like my slam books, greeting cards, etc.. I found this card. Now this card brings back a lot of memories and also thinking about it, makes me laugh -out-loud now. This card made my dad realize, I wasn't his little girl anymore and gave my mom a little heart attack and quite a lot of excitement in me... This guy, Balaji, my senior in school was a very good friend of mine and I knew he was quite fond of me as a friend(that's what I thought). He lived nearby and a sweet guy. We had 3 years difference between us. Once my friend, Arun told me that this guy, Balaji was telling his friends that he likes me and fell in love.. I thought he was playing the prank on me and got angry on Arun for playing with me... This was when I was in the 8th std. February 14th was always exam time for us. The management of the school always made sure we had some exams during this time. I was totally late for school as always and attended prayers at the last minute. Since Balaji was the vice-caption of the school and he had duty for late entry, he let me.. Cool huh?? Not always I can do that. But before, I can get into the class he called me aside and said that he wanted to talk to me after school. I, usually get to talk to him after school because we live very close by each others house. I said okay and ran for my exams. 3 hours. Did as much as I can in exams. I wasn't very bright those days.

After exams, he called me aside when I was chitchatting with my friends and handed over the card he had. You wouldn't believe how much that guy had done for a card. He had written a poem and which he had given it to printing press to print it on the card and then he had hand picked the background and all the other decorations. I know its not so great now but at that time, when I was just 14 years old and my friends around me were the same too, It definitely was a big thing. Even now, some of my old schoolmates talk about it when we have a get together.Talk of the school. I was dumbstruck. I didn't know how to react. Not like, I'm the cutest girl in class or he was the handsome guy. Everybody around us knew we were close friends and neighbors. I just said thank and left. Then I showed the card to my parents and it became big issue after that. Then Balaji apologized to me and all those thing happened, but I never threw the card away.

Hello, this is my first Valentine card and how can I get rid of it.. I still have and I never take it out. Okay, Balaji still lives near my place but now with his wife...He got married about 6 months ago and of course, I was invited.

So, Here I want to share my first secret, my first valentine's day poem..

Sweet Raji,

Quietly you came into my life,
Openly you shared yourself with me.
Gently you drew me closer
Tenderly touched my heart
Gratefully I celebrate each moment shared with you

Thank you for the miracle of you..
You are , and always will be the love of my life.

This was on the 1st page and in the second page

The miracle of you
My dearest Valentine
Raji

FROM
Yours loving
Balaji

Wasn't that cute?? I really appreciate the way it was written for me and me only. After that Balaji and me, we had always kept the distance and never talked much( Actually never talked). Then I wanted to share it with you because I thought this is always important to me.
He was also one of the inspirations for my poem writing skills. This poem motivated me a lot and I started writing my own. Thanks to BALAJI
